Rightnow Pakistan leads with 36 times

Australia 35 times

India 33 times (India scored their first 300 total only in 1994-95 after Tendulkar started opening)

I am surprised to find Srilanka has crossed just 12 times.

Pakistan and India would have scored most of those on batting beauties?

I assume you mean in ODIs.. in fact I know you do Smile

All lot of thsi is to do with the NUMBER OF ACTUAL ODIs played. Pakistan, India and Australia have played far mroe ODIs than any other countries, therefore the Stats will inevitably be skewed.

Table of ODIs Played by Each Country

Pakistan 620
Australia 603
India 601
Windies 523
NZ 485
Sri Lanka 473
England 423
South Africa 338

Makes perfect sense that the teams who have played most ODIs have crossed 300 runs the nmost often.

Yes I can imagine that Ankur as Indian ODI cricket has improved beyond recognition in past few years. No more 40 not outs from Sunny Smile

My point still remains though that it is no co-incidence that the top three 300+ run teams are the teams who have played the most games. Makes a lot of sense.

You can see the full all time ODI stats table at:

http://usa.cricinfo.com/db/STATS/ODIS/RESULTS/ODI_TEAM_RESULTS.html

South Africa come out very well indeed on winning percentage. India's stats would look much better over past 5 years than they are in this all-time table.

That's astonishing. Tendulkar-Ganguly opening partnership was the main reason for putting up so many 300+. Those guys would usually stay until 25 overs and score 130-150 runs.
