That’s why Maxwell isn’t respected, bullshit like that tells his keeper to get out the way and catches the high ball.

Batting first is hard, definitely in a league as weak as the big bash, the best batsmen usually bat in top 3 so get a couple early wickets and it’s hard to set a total.

Like this game here absolute belter and after losing a couple wickets after being 0/45 they’ve lost the plot and have failed to post a competitive total if you lost couple wickets chasing you know what you need and it’s easier to recompose yourself

Strange.
When he first came on scene esp IPL he is enthusiastic & is a go getter. What happened now? Fatness & laziness kicked in? Usually cricketers become better when they age by constantly learning till they hit 40s. I see a reverse trend. He is only 30. Hmmm

Maxie has been in and out of favour for years now but is striking form in the t20s.
He said he wants to play county cricket next season.
Implying he still wants to make the test squad.

His delusional though his not going to get picked unless he changes his game a bit and gets results on the board.

He averages in the 20s in short form cricket which is pathetic and Shield cricket although he has got some results the past couple years his playing on a road, averaging in the 40s isn’t good enough imo.

Has to put his head down and knock out a 1000 plus run season averaging 100 like Katich or Michael Hussey had to do.

Whacking a quick fire 25 or a 50 in Shield means f**k all.

Adelaide Strikers 6 for 158 (Weatherald 71, Boyce 2-16) beat Melbourne Renegades 9 for 126 (Webster 33, Neser 2-10) by 32 runs

Atrocious chase by Renegades White opening spoilt it for the kids Harper and Harvey who play well together.

For the Strikers Lehmann has to be dropped and Max Short is overrated.

Cameron Boyce (Renegades) is a good leggie and has some ticker.
Swepson (Heat) another leggie Warne likes though he plugs for Short (Hurricanes) the most.

Whether Zampa (Stars )who is playing today wants to play tests is not known.

Result game 2.

Perth Scorchers v Brisbane Heat.

Perth Scorchers 6 for 135 (Turner 47, Mujeeb 3-22) lost to Brisbane Heat 5 for 139 (Lynn 33, Coulter-Nile 3-25) by five wickets
A magical spell from Mujeeb Ur Rahman helped Brisbane Heat break their drought in the 2018-19 BBL, as they beat the struggling Perth Scorchers at the Perth Stadium.
On a pitch purpose-built for fast bowling, Mujeeb's mystery spin completely bamboozled the Scorchers top order after they were sent in to bat. He took 2 for 10 in four overs, which included two wides. The Scorchers, at one stage, looked like they might not muster 120. But another gem from Ashton Turner gave them a target to bowl at. Turner made 47 from 30 balls when no other Scorchers batsman struck at better than a run-a-ball.

The CA are trying to develope the game on the famous Gold Coast similar to the AFL's venture.

Melbourne Renegades v Hurricanes.
Marvel Stadium.

Hobart Squads/Players
Jofra Archer, George Bailey, Johan Botha, Jake Doran, James Faulkner, Caleb Paul Jewell, Ben McDermott, Riley Meredith, Simon Milenko, Tymal Mills, David Moody, Thomas Rogers, Clive Rose, D Arcy Short, Aaron Summers, Matthew Wade,

Aaron Finch(c), Cameron Boyce, Daniel Christian, Tom Cooper, Zak Evans, Mackenzie Harvey, Jon Holland, Tim Ludeman, Joe Mennie, Mohammad Nabi, Kane Richardson, Will Sutherland, Chris Tremain, Samiullah Shenwari, Beau Webster, Cameron White, Jack Wildermuth,

Equal favourites because of the return of Finch to the Renegades and the Hurricanes are away.

Very tricky pitch.
Great value Hurricanes if they can chase.

Weather irrelevant because of closable roof.

The NRL have tried too and spent big money with the Titans.
Funny enough Brisbane Broncos fans like myself mostly have the Titans as their second team and watch their matches.

But the Gold Coast population itself is difficult to fathom and it sure isn't a question of not being able to afford it.

The Sunshine Coast where I mainly live is the direct opposite and have their own Rugby League competition feeding the Melbourne Storm. But no NRL team as yet.

My theory is the Gold Coast population are a bunch of class conscious snobs.

Australia's sixth biggest city must check on the stable population numbers it will be pretty high.

Gold Coast population 2018
The Gold Coast's 2018 population is now estimated at 635,000. In 1950, the population of The Gold Coast was 28,000. The Gold Coast has grown by 47,000 since 2015, which represents a 2.60% annual change.

Its still a tourist town.

I wouldn't classify it as a city, I'd classify it as a lot of rented serviced apartments.

Sydney Thunder v Brisbane Heat.
Sydney Stadium.

Squads to pick from:
Sydney Thunder:
Fawad Ahmed, Jos Buttler, Pat Cummins, Callum Ferguson, Ryan Gibson, Chris Green, Liam Hatcher, Jay Lenton, Nathan McAndrew, Arjun Nair, Kurtis Patterson, Sam Rainbird, Joe Root, Daniel Sams, Gurinder Sandhu, Jason Sangha, Shane Watson
Brisbane Heat
Max Bryant, Joe Burns, Ben Cutting, Brendan Doggett, Sam Heazlett, Matt Kuhnemann, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Lalor, Chris Lynn, Brendon McCullum, James Pattinson, James Peirson, Jack Prestwidge, Matt Renshaw, Alex Ross, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mark Steketee, Mitch Swepson

Thunder slight favourites but this could could change at the toss.

Watson likes to bat first and Thunders bowling is lousy.

Labuschagne joins the squad but won't get a game after the Heats Perth win.
Renshaw's inclusion will bolster Brisbane and he looked solid until given out LBW in a shocker. Replay showed clearly missing.

60% chance showers up to 3 ml.

Result.
Brisbane Heat 8 for 186 (McCullum 56, Lynn 54, Cook 3-27) beat Sydney Thunder 2 for 34 from 5.3 overs (Ferguson 16, Pattinson 1-6) by 15 runs (DLS Method)

The Bash Bros strike form with high strike rates.

Though impending rain was on the radar the Thunder ignored it at their peril.

the most except for westindies cricket board

WICB also too stubborn, if i have to run organization like Westindies cricket board, i make LIFE LONG compromise with my player

can you imagine what will be happen to present Windies team vs england in test matches from this month?

if two bravo {above Dwyne retired} pollard,Samuels, sammy, sunil Narine, Gayle { some cricket left}etc with present team you still can present better team in your own nation

i think Dareen Bravo say sorry to board { he sued WICB in 2017} someone should give up.
pak Blow away vs Jhe Richardson
