Will Porterfield has stepped down as T20 captain after 10 years with Gary Wilson taking over. I'm glad to see Dockrell recalled after being left out of the Test squad. He has been in good form in the Inter-Pros for Leinster this season. Actually he and Simi Singh actually set a new world record last week - the highest 7th wicket partnership for a List A game when they put on 211*. For good measure, Dockrell took 5 wickets with the ball. Nice to see Poynter and McCarthy back too.
I'm hoping for a good performance in this tournament. Our record in the format for the last few years has been atrocious.

Poor batting from our top order left us with too much to do. Big improvement needed today

Am confused.
This thread says the teams are Scotland, Ireland and Netherlands.
Yet Scotland played a T20I against Pakistan yesterday.
And a 50-over game against England the other day.
What's going on?

A big improvement after the shite we served up against Netherlands. Dropping Porterfield the team was a big call but a necessary one. More of the same today hopefully.
