NZ go in as favourites. They gave a tough fight to India in India.
Lot of depth in the side. And on home pitches, NZ swing bowlers are dangerous. However, they may likely be neutered by the Pakistani bowling. It will come down to the batting and fielding eventually.

NZ is out of seam all rounders.
Kuggs has been injured and missing domestic and NZA games.
CDG is on bereavement.
Bracewell injured last T20 game. Has been replaced in the squad by Worker.
Anderson injured and Neesham has been dropped by his domestic side.
There is a good chance NZ will be forced to play 2 spinners until CDG is back- so Santner and Astle batting at 7 and 8. This weakens the ideal NZ batting which would be CDG at 7 and Santner or Astle at 8.
Hess may gamble on Munro and Worker to bowl 10 overs and bat Niccolls or Worker at 7. But Hess typically prefers a 6th bowling option being Munro (previously it was Elliot).

The result will be depended on Pakistani pacers. If they can utilize NZ condition thn the result will be on their side. Otherwise NZ are favorite on their home condition.

ODI schedules 2 years ago so no test but their test vs Ireland coming up in Ireland as date already announced follows with couple of test vs England
(Eng/ Aus too playing 5 ODI in January with no t20i I guess )

Not true.
Pakistan tour NZ so much they have split the tours to whites and coloureds. Helps keep NZ fans from getting bored of them like what happened after 2 years of full test and limited overs SL tours in 2014/15 and 2015/16.
2014/15 coloureds
2015/16 coloureds
2016/17 whites
2017/18 coloureds
Pakistan has been in NZ.
India aint been here since 2013/14

Whatever. But their fans were on cloud 9 after the Champions trophy, they have now been brought down to earth by a very good NZ attack.
That said, I will support any nation against Terroristan, even Bangladesh.

Well I am pleased that you're doing your part as a mod in ensuring there is no racism, prejudism or hate speech on cricforum. Diplomacy appears to come naturally to you.
Anyway, back to the cricket, NZ batted well against a strong attack. I'm not sure NZ has bowled as well it may seem or if Pakistan still has severe batting woes. I think its the latter. Farkhar is playing a gem though.

Pakistan's attack is a valuable warm up for NZ batsmen, but I worry whether their batsmen are really preparing NZ bowlers for the English tour (and tri series t20 with Aus).
That said - my concerns for NZ are mostly (not wholly) around getting the batting right.

KW is rightly mom, but the biggest positive for NZ was Munro getting a positive result vs a proven quality seam attack.
Continued improvement for Niccols - but Bruce and Chapman are still snapping at his heels.
But why was Guppie scoring so slow?

To clarify - to refer to Pakistan as Terroristan meets your definition of fun, but would calling every Asian a terrorist, would that be personal? Or just those in the sub-continent?
I'm not a mod, so I'm still figuring out the difference between 'fun' and being 'personal'. I appreciate your guidance as a responsible, impartial and wise moderator.

I have a grouse against the country ' Pakistan' as it sponsors terror worldwide. You would have heard that Prez Trump has withdrawn all aid to Pakistan and Senator Rand Paul is also bringing in a legislation towards the same. I dont have any individual biases person specific in Pakistan. It is towards that country's policies towards supporting terror and naturally if sportsmen represent such a terror supporting nation, I am not inclined to support it and well within my rights.

Yup , sum and substance. Pakistanis on an individual level could be wonderful people or nasty.
But the country is becoming the basket case for the world with its support to terror as an instrument of foreign policy.

Wrecked by rain.
NZ won in a DLS reduced chase.
Guptil, Taylor, Hasan, and Shadab had starring roles but all with the bat.

Terribly poor performance by Pakistan.
Very well done, NZ.
Pity there are no Test matches on this tour.

I know I’m late to the party but that seems a bit unlucky that your bat sticks in the turf so you’re run out

70 reqd off 67.
5 wickets in hand.
Nicely poised.
Make that 66 off 66.
