Westindies vs Zimbabwe Test Series : OCT 21- Nov 2,2017 at Bulawayo
West Indies begin their tour with a practice game against Zimbabwe A from October 15-17 at the Bulawayo Athletic Club.
West Indies squad:
Jason Holder (c), Kraigg Brathwaite, Devendra Bishoo, Jermaine Blackwood, Roston Chase, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich (wk), Shannon Gabriel, Shimron Hetmyer, Kyle Hope, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Kieran Powell, Raymon Reifer, Kemar Roach
Zimbabwe Squad:
Brendon Taylor, Kyle Jarvis,Sikander RaZa,Sean Williams, Peter Moor,Greme Cramer (c)
(Zimbabwe team will be updated on Oct 20th,2017 )
Westindies will keep the same test test as one in England Resently for the up -coming two test matches, Both Tests (Oct 21-25) + ( Oct 29-Nov 2 ) will be played at Bulawayo.
I think WI Wicketkeeper Dowrich very lucky to retains who scored 10 runs so far in his Limited test career of 5 test matches.Kyle Hope was total failure yet he too finds his place in the test team

Probably his contract over with county cricket or gets more bucks from his native nations.

This could be an interesting series.
Windies 154/3 at Tea.
Shai Hope on 56, Kieron Powell got 56 too.
Kyle Hope 16.
After getting 16, his Test average has zoomed to 8.14.

Collapse by Windies.
Lost their last 5 wickets for just 40 runs.
179/5 became 219 all out.
4 wickets to Cremer, 3 to Williams.
Zimbabwe managed to bat out their overs without loss of wickets.

Didn't even realise this 2nd Test was going on.
We're already into the 4th day's play.
Zimbabwe batted first, scored 326 (Masakazda 147).
Windies have taken the lead.
They were struggling at 230/7 but an unbeaten 8th wicket partnership so far between Dowrich (76*) and Holder (73*) has put them in a comfortable position.

Bit slow progress to be in day four already. Was there rain?

Sorry, yesterday was the 3rd day's play.
Today was the 4th, so there's one more day's play to go.
Game interestingly poised.
Both Dowrich and Holder got their hundreds - the last time a No.8 and No.9 got hundreds in a Test innings was in the 1907-1908 series at Adelaide. (Roger Hartigan & Clem Hill for Australia vs England - though they were both proper batsmen so their batting at 8 & 9 is misleading).
Zimbabwe's second innings was then in tatters at 46/4.
But they've made some sort of recovery since, at 140/4 at close of play on the 4th day.
They're just 18 ahead, so a fair amount of work still to be done.
I'd say advantage Windies even now.
As for time lost, yes, on day-1 due to rain only 61 overs could be bowled.

Just realised that Sikandar Raza, who's developing into a very useful middle-order batsman for Zimbabwe, is of Pakistani-origin.
Born in Pakistan, educated in Glasgow, parents moved to Zimbabwe in 2002.

So the Test is drawn.
Windies win the 2-Test series 1-0.
Didn't realise Raza picked up a five-fer.
That with his 80 and 89 in the two innings here is a phenomenal performance.
He has a healthy batting average of 42 after 9 Tests (18 completed innings).
For a Zimbabwe batsman, that's particularly creditable.
