Thanks guys for running with this whilst I've been away.
I'm writing up a review of Rajas team just now. I'm thinking we do another review thread maybe? I'll post something in the next couple days that hopefully gives everyone an idea of the format we could do.
You may as well delete the presentation thread GS put up if we are still going with this.

Re: 2017 TEST DRAFT (50 cap limit)
Both Seymour Nurse and Eddie Barlow are very good picks, especially for this 11th round.
Ted, everyone else is done with his picks. Could you please pick your 11th player now? Thanks.

Retiring after hitting 258?
Man. Many cricketers could learn from that, retiring on a high. 1967 belongs to him.

I'd also like to know, once Ted has picked, which cricketers raja was expecting to be selected who were not.

Re: 2017 TEST DRAFT (50 cap limit)
Yes, I think we could just go ahead and review the teams as per Ted's proposal of reviewing the team before you in the list.
Only the one supposed to review Ted (AK) might need to wait till Ted picks.

I second that.
I also suggest everyone list 2 other teams on what they like.
Whoever get more votes is the winner.

Re: 2017 TEST DRAFT (50 cap limit)
My top3
---------
AK (Stokes & Bairstow)
Misty (clean)
Louie_db9 (Philander & Rahane)
Normally, in my head, I should be deduting marks for current players who are quite likely to get to 50 Tests. :-)
But since this was allowed as per the rules, I have let it be.
I like that Misty's team is clean; no current players.

Re: 2017 TEST DRAFT (50 cap limit)
Frankly speaking, my team, is best so I would love to vote my team First
Second team I selected Rajas team because he selected some Rare and Iconic players, so I vote for raja.
My 3rd pick will be Boycaught30 so I vote for his team ( 4 of his team member I selected but hey its luck, first come first serves but he could selects at least one English player instead MG)
Sorry ted and Verity because both of you selected at least 3 players rank below par excellence, really, you should pick ''good test players''.
I will vote for first place team if ONLY OUR HEAD (TED) not allows me to vote for myself, my team.he should come out from Closet, much sonner now.

Rf: vote
Well different member has different taste on voting but there is not certain rules need to follows in order to vote for teams performances which I think not good,
For example raja thinks Barry Richards and Mike Proctor outstanding but me and Going south thinks not because what are their combined test score?
Under 735 career (test) runs may be.we run 2017 draft for test matches than FIRST CLASS CRICKET but voter not really care much.

Re: 2017 TEST DRAFT (50 cap limit)
Thanks for your vote of confidence, Misty.
You picked your own team first, then mine second, Boycaught30 as third.
But since you're not allowed to pick your own team, that means mine moves to first, Boycs30 to second...
You need to pick a team as third.
I can explain my voting, but I thought I'll wait till everyone has done his voting. I don't want to influence others' thinking. Already this public voting might affect others. Let's see. In the past, we voted privately.
Ted, where are you? You still need to pick your 11th player.

Haha...what's this, Eurovision Song Contest?
GS wasn't in your top-3 first time round, but the moment he votes you are his top team, you return the compliment. Suddenly he becomes your no.1 team? :-)
Anyway, it doesn't matter. It's all for fun.

Re: 2017 TEST DRAFT (50 cap limit)
Ok, on Misty's request, I am going to make a suggestion for Ted's 11th player.
I think his team has decent players but could do with some bolstering both in batting and bowling.
And there's only one player left to pick.
If I were to pick from Misty's list, it would be Peter Pollock. He would be a good foil for Roberts and Starc, while being a handy lower-order batsman.
But there's ONE player I wanted to pick - and almost picked - but went with Ian Bishop at the very last moment. Surprisingly he has gone under the radar for everyone. Well, maybe not so surprisingly, because his stats don't look that great - and everyone here looks first at stats.
His Test stats do him NO justice at all. He was a LEGEND - one of the greats, especially in the formative years of the game for his team.
No, I'm not talking about WG Grace (I stay away from cheats :-)).
I'm talking about the one and only Learie Constantine.
He could bowl furiously fast.
He could turn a match in a matter of a few deliveries - whether bowled BY him, or TO him.
In fact, he was such an outstanding fielder that before Colin Bland (and later Jonty Rhodes) became household names for outfielding, the name the world knew was Constantine.
Ted's team needs a true character - let's face it, Stackpole, Brad Hodge, Law and Moody, decent blokes all, aren't exactly going to bring in the crowds.
My man Learie Constantine will.
Arthur Morris (opener-lhb)
Keith Stackpole (opener)
Brad Hodge
Stuart Law
Tom Moody
Les Ames (wk)
Learie Constantine(all-rounder / fast)
Mitchell Starc (all-rounder / fast-leftarm)
Colin Miller (medium pace & spin-off)
Andy Roberts (fast)
Stuart MacGill (spin-legbreak)
