West Indies All Time Squad vs England All Time Squad
I recently bought Cricket Captain 2017 and just discovered the All time greats mode were you can have the best players from the major cricketing countries battle it out.
Here are the squads i assembled.
For the West Indies i ballsed up by accidently putting Chase in there instead of Sammy and not putting Russel as the reserve.

For England i couldn't find Vaughan. For England i also ballsed up including Wood instead of someone like Swann or another batsmen like Trott or Cook. I I kept the England sqaud recent.

I originally picked it for ODI. But I had to go and make a pot noodle so i made it T20 to save time.
Strauss didn't do that great the England batting was carried by Trescothick and Root.

In one day cricket I'd agree trescothick is better than Strauss. Though I think Strauss test batting shouldn't be underestimated prior to the captaincy draining him. He scored two centuries in that 2005 series and averaged over 50 for a fair portion of his career.
And Vaughan was the number one batsman in the world around 2002-2003. And with trescothick and Strauss at the top, them vaughan and Thorpe then KP in the middle order, and harmison hoggard and Simon jones with the ball and Freddie at his peak we hand a pretty damn good team in 2003/4-2005

Both Strauss and Trescothick were phenomenal batsmen. But in the simulation i ran on Cricket Captain Strauss went out with a 6 and 2 balls.
While Trescothick got close to a century before being bowled.

Hmm, interesting.
Since you've got Kanhai, Gibbs, Ramadhin in there, I'm thinking you're considering the 50s.
In that case, wouldn't Gary Sobers just walk in?
He was a guy with a reputation of hitting the ball to any corner of the ground - very hard to set a field to.
I'd have Clive Lloyd in there too, I think.
And no Garner?
Garner was one of the finest ODI bowlers - very accurate, hard to hit. Good yorker as well.
Why so many off-spinners?
At the most, keep Gibbs - he was very economical - the rest can be safely dropped.
So Goddard, Ramadhin & Chase out.
Sobers, Lloyd and Garner in.
Bowling attack - Ambrose, Garner, Walsh, Gibbs, Sobers/Bravo.
Batting - Gayle (lhb), Greenidge (rhb), Kanhai (rhb), Lara (lhb), Sobers(lhb), Lloyd (lhb), Dwayne Bravo.
Lloyd as captain, Kanhai to keep.
Grave injustice to get a team like this to bat and bowl only for 20 overs.
I'd even replace Walsh with Holding. Better yorker bowler, IMO.
With such a strong batting line-up, I might even be tempted to drop Bravo and pick Narine.
After all, he's a T20 champ.
Ambrose, Garner, Holding, Gibbs, Narine sounds good.
With Sobers as sixth bowling option.

I couldn't find Garner and i like having Sammy because he as phenomenal bowler and can bat up a top total.
