Tony Able's World record of 357 not out ( by opener who carried his bat ) broken by Samit of Gujrat @ Jaipur in ranji trophy Quater final vs ODISHA.

Able set record playing in English county in 1899.Samit,born in Anand, Gujrat.batted 964 minutes for his unbeaten 359 in the second innings,he carried his bats remain not out.

Doing 357* in 1899 seems quite a feat in itself!

Of course my first thought is about the pitch! But must be well played nonetheless

Bah. Indian first class has much more quality than stupid gully cricket by below average bumpkin cricketers with no rules

I take all records by Indians, especially in first-class cricket in India, with a ton of salt.
If they do it in English conditions, ok, I can accept it.
