Herath got some glove on it... and he walks! Prior took the catch tumbling to his right, Reiffel nods and raises a finger but - wait for it - replays show Herath has removed his hand from the bat handle before contact was made! Why did Herath not review?! He wasn't out but he is out and now England only require one more wicket to complete a sensational win! 201/9

Cook and Broad didn't call the batsman back when he was clearly not out?

That has to be against the spirit of the game, no?

Broad to Pradeep, no run, good length, nipping back in to strike the pad - it's given straight away but Pradeep reviews! England explode in celebration but the batsman knows he has hit this, the replays quickly confirm it, inside edge on to his front pad... Reiffel has to overturn the decision and Sri Lanka survive another delivery

Long live DRS.

Stupid of Herath. Luckily SL saved the game, otherwise...

89.1
Broad to Herath, OUT, goes for the bouncer and it's sliding to leg, Herath got some glove on it... and he walks! Prior took the catch tumbling to his right, Reiffel nods and raises a finger but - wait for it - replays show Herath has removed his hand from the bat handle before contact was made! Not in Queens English. In Tamil too they have a saying Maamiyaar Vodaichaa mangalam naatuponnu vodaichaa ventilator. I. E it is called a good omen if the mother in law breaks (a rule) but an ill omen if the daughter in law does the same.

The last ball
89.6 Broad to Pradeep, no run, edged... but taken on the bounce by second slip! Jordan clasped his hands around it but he knew it hadn't carried, heads were thrown back, Pradeep and Eranga can celebrate, they have seen Sri Lanka home to a (unexpectedly magnificent) draw

Now ECB demand that one step catch is LEGAL as it were in gully cricket and demand that a win should be declared for them.

They just cannot take a wicket when needed. tsk tsk...."EVEN" BCCI is better than that bowling. :slap:

Not like all of us didn't see this coming a mile off.
Reckon someone is going to get cut for Stokes next test?

But drop who? Not Bell, not Root and not Ballance. That leaves Cook or Robson. Ain't going to be the Cookie Monster. Robson loses out after one test? That's tough.

How about they get an actual spin bowler? Moeen Ali didn't do anything with the ball.

Also, I LOVE seeing Broad get denied that wicket. Cricket is such a beautiful game that way.

They don't have to drop Cook if he hopefully gets banned for those garbage over rates. Quit dawdling, cupcake.

had an argument with his locker, thought he would punch it in the gut and prove who was the boss, instead ended up with a broken wrist.Dim wit.

Now Playing:
If I hold a gun to your head for Tests next year ...

Am surprised to see Plunkett in the side.
A batting average of 13 or so, a bowling average of 42.
That's an England version of Peter Fulton. :-)

It's a no-brainer. Replace him with Stokes.
And while you're at it, replace Moeen Ali also with Monty or some quality spinner. And England will be a much better side, IMO.

Gave Scrubby CF$10K for his stupid prediction that Moeen would have a worse debut than Simon Kerrigan. It wasn't quite that bad, but still the best of the predictions.

Damn right, Ali is not a front line spinner he never will be, despite his potential with the bat. You need a striking spinner.

And I don't know why Stokes is not playing.
