as long as Dhoni is there, SCK will be favorites to win this match.

Wow, nothing much came from the free hit.

Kings XI worthy winners aren't they, awesome fielding!

Raina played one hell of an innings, but it's been a one-man show for CSK.
None of the others have delivered.

Kings' XI clearly the much better side today. Fully deserve to be in finals.

I don't mind KKR as such but will be supporting Punjab only because they've never won before. Will be good to have a new winner.

Another reason I'm supporting Punjab for the trophy is that they've entertained THROUGHOUT the tournament.
Fantastic free-flowing batting all the way.
And I like the fact that they have guys like Sandeep Sharma, Manan Vohra,Akshar Patel, Karanveer Singh...

Not wrong, is he?
In a crunch game, you expect your experienced players to step up.
Between them, they got 19 off 40.
When you were chasing a target of 227!
You hog up 40 out of 120 deliveries!

All 4 of them need to look at themselves.

Dhoni needs to look at himself too. He didn't play very good himself and the way he's been with his bowlers all season has been poor. Truly missed Bravo like he said. But it's a bad boat to be in when you are in need of a bowler who only goes for 30 runs a match instead of 40-45.

I love it when Dhoni loses.

Very rare to see captain directly pointing out certain players after losing a match, and looks like Dhoni showed more "passion" after losing a IPL match than he does when India lose.

I think today his passion - and anger - were justified.
This is an IPL semi-final, after all.

Was a good game to watch. It's not too bad to watch these run fests occasionally. Just gets boring when it happens every other game. Not a good sign that Jadeja and Ashwin were tonked around by an out of form batsman. Hopefully they work on their bowling a bit before England

Indeed, was a good game to watch. The most boring games are the one-sided ones.
In any format.

I think playing 5 Indian bowlers means he was not happy with the international bowlers he had, hilfenhaus, hasting and badree. Faf du was selected over MHussey at auction but never turned up at any point.

very uncharacteristic of Dhoni to loose cool. He got wallopped 3 times out of 3 for 200 by KXIP.

There is so much wrong about this. I cannot even begin.

Dhoni is being passionate after IPL loss. Really?? Where was this passion when India has 0-10 record in their last 12 overseas tests? Just another indication that he should give up test captaincy. At least Kohli is passionate.

Everyone except Ishwar Pandey is an international cricketer. But I dont think Dhoni is blaming them. He should have said " overseas players".

But when you are chasing 227, you should lash out at the bowlers ! What about his all- Indian bowling attack? The only bowler to go for less than 10 per over was a non-international player. But Dhoni does everything to protect his buddies, Ashwin and Jadeja.

He was pretty pissed off with his bowlers too. He said that he was pretty sure that his bowling attack would concede over 200 on this pitch (or something of the sort).

I would be pissed of aswell especially after one batsman get's 87 of 25 and make it so easy for the rest, but Faf, Smith Maccullum and Hussy all failed to make anything. Total let down. Don't blame bowlers. Flat wickets and 60 m boundaries. They are not going for 300 every match is a miracle.

My problem is not that he was pissed off. Why doesn't he show the same type of passion and care for tests? In NZ, India had a great chance of creating a world record, chasing 420 odd and they were 220-2. But batsmen played some silly shots and we lost. In 2nd test, we had dominated NZ, only to allow McCullum and Watling make 400 partnership. Dhoni should have been 100 times angrier letting those two matches slip.

Exactly. Pace of game in test cricket is waaaay laid back. Even though he gets emotional, by the time someone put a mike to his face it would be 3-4 days later and by then all emotion die down and you end up saying from a boring prewritten script!!! No wonder T20 is best as it can capture emotions in the raw and is genuine unlike test cricket where it's all fake !!!!

True. You have more time to process a Test match.

Besides, I don't think Dhoni could have been particularly harsh on his players after the 0-8 defeat in England/Australia. His equation with the senior players who let him down (Sachin/Lax/Dravid in Aus) is different from his equation with IPL international players.

He might have murmured privately about Indian senior players letting him down but he wouldn't go public with his feelings.

That's how I took it as well. He was simply quite upset. Must suck never captaining a team with good bowlers.
