T20 Cricket Draft

Anyone keen?

Take it in turns of picking current T20 players and over a 12 month period real life results decide the winner. Each side will have 2 batsmen 1 wicketkeeper 2 bowlers and 2 allrounders which can be selected in any order as the draft process goes on.

Every T20 comp in the world counts as well as International T20s.

1 run = 1 point
1 wicket = 20 points
1 catch = 5 points
1 run out = 20 points
50's = 40 points
100's = 80 points
3 wicket hauls = 40 points
5 wicket hauls = 80 points
Stumpings = 20 points

Performances in internationals have a x1.5 weighting.

Ambitious! But I never turn down a draft. Doubt I could name eleven current t20 players.

-WK-
-All-rounder-
-All-rounder-
-Bowler-
-Bowler-

Sweet.

The random order picked is. RNG 1-100, highest goes first.

Raja (100)
The Third Man (94)
Yorkshire? (92)
Going South (88)
finger_power (63)
Verity (57)
Afghan (45)
Leo (31)
Boycs (1)

Same as always reverse order every 2nd round, Raja kicks us off. 2 Geniune bowlers, 2 geniune batsmen and 2 all rounders with a wicket keeper needed per side, people can join up until the end of R2. Let the fun begin!

I will post the fixtures in the coming days, I will updates following every tournament.

Raja your turn!

Please put next to your selection what role that player will fill in your side.

Yes, I know.
I really shouldn't be playing this. I'm an absolute embarrassment.
And to be asked to open the draft..

It's like asking former NZ opener, Mark Richardson, to open the innings in T20.

:lmao:
Yes, a century went by
after the time of Bligh
'fore T20 came by
One cannot deny
Bligh was a T20 guy
as was the great Fry
So much though one might try
to stifle a cry
one can only sigh
at the chance gone by
to see these two fly
and send the ball high
now it's time to end this
'fore I cause someone to die :-)

For T20 you'd be looking for someone with a batting strike rate of around 120 and decent bowling figures as well

Wow, we're still at 3 picks only till now?
This is a T20 draft, you're expected to think at T20 speeds. :-)

I suggest we just start all over again, and put a time limit to picks.
Breaks my heart to have to release Narine to the pool, but in the larger interest of the draft, I'm willing to make that sacrifice.

We need a table up as well.

I like that this is a draft and an IHAG combined

Dear Verity, Please declare a timeline for each round. If anyone fail to pick he will miss that round and next player will be eligible to pick.
