That is a long time ahead. Odd to make such a proclamation so early, no?

He said similar things at the commencement of the NZ tour; that he thought it was his last tour to NZ as they were not scheduled to return in a while.

Faf is hardly setting the T20 world alight, so he may look to the T20 circuit in and around getting a Kolpak type county stint which would force him to retire from South Africa. The county circuit in England is obviously more lucrative (and no doubt secure) than playing tests for Safrica - as demonstrated by Kyle Abbott's early retirement. And I'm guessing the counties make arrangements for player's families. Bit more stability than globe tropping on the test scene.

With Brexit looming, the future of Kolpak's will be revisted. But with his versatility, he'd have little trouble getting a county pro position I would think.

That's a though. How will brexit affect kolpak? Other than England becoming a third world nation full of morons that is.

Read this;
http://www.espncricinfo.com/england/content/story/299952.html
and this;
http://www.espncricinfo.com/england/content/story/1075718.html

That will give you the starting points.

The key thing to remember simply is, without Britain in the EU, there is no EU court or European Parliament telling Britain what to do.
