Do you mean the protests against the war?

If so I understand what you are saying. But for me protesting against a war at the very place where dead soldiers fly back to their loved ones is far more insulting than suggesting the major stars of a fictional story sleep with each others and animals.

And thats my point. What I find insulting and what others do are clearly very different.

For me the paintings are no different to photoshopping Harry Potter and Hermione into porn. Whereas those 'protests' were disgusting. At the point where decent people of a town were showing respect for the youngsters who died for us those animals were calling the British Army (their army) murderers and rapists. Personally I wanted to let the 'protests' go ahead. The next morning we could have washed away what remained of the protesters....job done.

I think thats the essential diference in our thinking. I want free speech and then let people stand by their words. Other people want to decide what is correct (usually their opinion) and ban the rest. It doesnt work; it drives things underground and creates division.

The war protests were nothing more than a political gimmick. Why don't they protest the killings made by the Taliban as well? I agree with Aidan. The protests were a disgusting farce trying to take advantage of a grieving peoples.
