If you ask a native Chinese, he would deny that there is something called a Chinese food. Likewise I do not think that Indians eat something called Curry.

Kadhi (I think that is what is spelled curry) is a small part of food of Maharashtra. That is all. Majority of Indians rarely have kadhi as part of their meal. I think it is Indian dish of rice and pulse that is popularly called Curry in west, which is not quite curry.
