US Elections

Postby Boycs » Tue Nov 08, 2016 6:14 am

I thought rather than bounce between two threads on the candidates we could just discuss the progress of the day here.

Dixie Sticks or whatever that village in New Hampshire is called should have voted by now, right?

As I said before, the world holds its breath.

Remember what fear mongering and extreme economic turmoil has led to in the past when people went to the election booths...... think 1933....

I'm just saying right wing freak votes are a powerful influence.

I think trumps more than just a right wing politician, personally I think if he was elected it would be the worst thing to happen to America this century.

Of course he's not Hitler, I'm an educated man I'd know better than to use reductio ad hitlerum, I'm just suggesting the role of reactionary voting

if voting against expanding wars, institutionalised government corruption, illegal immigration and high unemployment is reactionary, then deal me in.

Against expanding wars?

Is trump going to destroy corruption or is he just surfing that ticket?

And how is he going to solve unemployment?

I'm not saying Hilary has answers to these questions either, but trump seems all snout no plans

Hillary....Hillary....Hillary!

Many hate her just cos she's a woman.

She's got her heart in the right place - and is much smarter than many give her credit for.

When (not if) she becomes President, you will see for yourself how much better the world will become during her tenure.

In the U.K. Brexit was voted for by older people who won't have to live long in the mess it's going to cause and how it's going to screw the young over.

I wonder what the age breakdown of these US votes will be

He is leading with big margin. Needs 20. Pennsylvania has 20 votes. And he is leading there. Any minute you get your president. Stock markets around the world gonna collapse big time tomorrow.

Same situation here.
The under-44s have been robbed.

18-29: 55% Clinton, 37% Trump
30-44: 50% Clinton, 42% Trump
45-64 : 44% Clinton, 53% Trump
65 and over: 45% Clinton, 53% Trump
