Players who failed to perform against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the ongoing Nidahas trophy will be able to "impress" spectators in IPL. :)

I've always supported SRH.
Previously I used to support Deccan Chargers.

Strangely, for a guy who's very fond of the Karnataka Ranji team, I am quite happy to see RCB thrashed in the IPL.
I think it's the Mallya effect.
Not even sure who owns the franchise anymore but from day one, the Mallya effect left a bad taste in my mouth.
And from the beginning, RCB has had show ponies, rather than workhorses.

Wait! When did Mumbai Indians pick up the Fizz?

Why even bother to play this whole tournament?

Might as well just give the trophy to MI.

Corey Anderson in the same squad as CDG is a massive blessing for the NZC selectors if both get some quality game time.

Personally I want to see either a vast improvement in CDG, bowling as well as smarts with the bat esp vs spin, or Cory just simply completely outplaying him with circa 2015 form and back into the Black Caps limited overs setup at CDG's expense. If both fail, NZC remains with a top 7 allrounder problem for limited overs teams. This is meant to be a strength of NZC, the country that produced CCairns, JOram, CHarris, SStyris and many more incl NAstle.

So RCB have already lost Coulter-Nile, star of KKR last year. :lmao:
RCB is doomed. Every year they lose good players just before, or during, the IPL.
Corey is a decent replacement but I don't know whether to rate his bowling or not.

I now wonder what what would be rules & punishment in IPL?

it’s a private affair of BCCI in which ICC has no say, so if at all it happens BCCI would look other way.

Does that means more ball tampering this year as Australians would teach others on how to do it ??

If I were BCCI, I would give a statement on ball tampering punishments before this year’s IPL.

what do you say?

Good subject but modern day player thinks 20s are Festival games, it's 3 hour game after all.you get un-limited chances with new game daily.i do not think ball tamering impact results of the game in 20/20.

I am worry about standard of cricket and rotten behavior of top class player on field.

Other day Davey and KOck fight on field
Shakib call his player back to pavallion
Now Bancroft drama live on camera

This is Bizzare and stupid Ridiculous.!

I think if it's happen in IPL player should suspended for entire IPL so others not dares to repeat.

Yes D Lehmann watching Smith crying in front of media so he step down from the head coach job after Johannesburg test.

Who will open for SRH? They need test player, right?

any English player is a liability as they want to take IPL money BUT would play in county cricket instead. ECB would always make international matches at the same time too, so it’s a bad investment in general.

Alex Hales to replace Warner is a smart move though.
He's an explosive player - am just not sure if he's available for the entire tournament.
Is he?

I think KKR have already lost before even playing their first game.

They've replaced Starc with Tom Curran. :-)

if you change potato in samosa with some left-over stale last-night curry, it’s not the same.

smith by heinrich klaassen
warner by alex hales
starc by tom curren

WTH. who are these people? under which rock they crawled out? what a joke.

I know nothing about Klaasen for RR, which already means he's better than Smith.
Smith in T20s was just living off his overall stature.

Alex Hales as Warner replacement (for SRH) is not bad actually.
Hales is the type to get 80 off 30.
Am just not sure if he's available for the whole tournament.

Curren coming in for Starc (for KKR) has got to be a Dinesh Karthik brainfade. :-)
Today's paper said "Curren is a yorker specialist who also bowls a deceptive, back-of-the-hand slower ball" - I take that with a truck of salt.
England has these guys like Curren, Chris Jordan and this other guy (can't remember his name now) who are supposedly highly rated for T20.
I saw Chris Jordan last year for RCB - hardly set the stage on fire.
Having said that, it could also have been RCB - they have the ability to destroy the best. :-)

Maybe I shouldn't be too harsh on Curren. We'll know in a few days. :-)
