CWI (Cricket West Indies) managed to announce a playing 13 from people willing to tour Pakistan only at the last moment, with the first match scheduled to start two days from now. Many of the players are unknown names.

In T20? Yes I would have said so. WI strongest format and Pakistan are strong in it too.

I appreciate yesterday’s result perhaps doesn’t support me :D

I hope West Indies players are given proper security because PCB officials must be baying for the blood of these West Indian jokers masquerading as cricketers. :)

Congratulations Pakistan.

Why West Indies agreed to play in Pakistan? Big question.

Not fully agreed with the article. Till now the political situation is not up to the mark in Pakistan. Yes, recently the law and order situation is improved and they also arranged some tournaments successfully but It's a bit difficult for other cricket boards to make any decision.

Pakistan should communicate through government level. No cricket board will be allowed to send national team in Pakistan without clearance from central government.

It is a high risk (for the players).

The country is the hotbed of terrorists.

In other countries, Securitymen and terrorists are on opposite sides. In Pakistan terrorists are trained and protected by their military. Osama Bin Laden was found living in the most well secured Military cantonment of Pakistan. So, organising a few matches against teams under pressure/ by paying additional money is not going to change the actual situation which is beyond the control of PCB and Pakistan's cricket loving public.

What action has been taken against the terrorists who attacked Sri Lankan cricketers one decade ago. The answer is nothing. And this situation is not going to change in future as well.

Aren't we being harsh here?
I agree that we've had our share of problems - but things are definitely improving.
Am glad West Indies has taken the big step of touring - am confident our government will give the players full protection.
Inshallah other teams will follow.

We've been starved of international cricket in our homeland for a decade - think of the fans.
Watching our players play in the UAE is just not the same.
Imagine if you Indians don't get to see your players playing international cricket in India?

For me, the results of these matches is irrelevant.
Just the fact that we're able to host international matches again is exhilarating.

don’t cry over spilled milk.
they bring this shitty situation on their own.
State itself sponsored terrorism.
what can a common man (cricket fan) do?
glad that west indians were not harmed.
I am not sure any white player or indian can play cricket there without any harm coming their way.
it’s not safe.
bangladeshi can tour? they are muslims right? no?
that tell you that situation has nothing to do with religion.
yes. playing in UAE is not the same.
who is responsible for this?
themselves.
topple that terrorist supporting milerary junta and make a strong democratic government that show zero tolerance to terror acts home grown or abroad.

Make a law to make pakistan as gun-free country.

hahahahahaha just joking. not going to happen. bye bye cricket.

Not possible. In any country top most security is given to the international players. But in Pakistan that security is not enough even if it is presidential security.

Pakistani political situation is not stable till now. That is making their country unstable in law and order aspect.

For example: Bangladesh Cricket Board were almost agreed 2/3 times in recent past to send national team to Pakistan. But the central intelligence didn't provide green signal. Even we also protest that movement in common and social media. So, BCB withheld their decision. Even Bangladesh National women team visited for 1/2 tour but BCB was highly criticized.

A single player can go to Pakistan for playing PSL or their domestic league which is his/her own decision but a government or cricket board cannot take that risk when a team consist of almost 20-25 personnel.

That's why I asked why WICB agreed to play in Pakistan? Money!!!!!!

I still remember the terrorized Sri Lankans who were hit by bullets in Pakistan.

It was the stuff of movies, only this was happening real time.
