5 wickets in hand.
Nicely poised.
Make that 66 off 66.
Good day for NZ cricketers named Colin from Africa.

Once upon a time New Zealand was the heaven for Pakistani pacers. They enjoyed to bowl in that condition. I watched an interview of Waqar Yunis where he told New Zealand as his one of the favorite condition as he got lots of wicket over there.
Now a day Pakistani pacers are useless in that favorable condition. What a deterioration of quality!!!!!!!
Congrats New Zealand.

I wouldn't describe Amir, Ali and leggie Shadab as 'useless'. Even if not at early and mid 90's Waqar level. I would say that Guppie, KW and Taylor are all in NZ's best ever odi team tho.
Only Safrica is beating NZ at home in odi of late.
NZ is better quality than where Waqar tore through here in his peak.

Quality of NZ team has also improved.Consider that.
NZ ODI is a very tough team to beat.See how they played against India. It is difficult beating India in India, yet they fought till the end.

Yes, it is true that present New Zealand is far better than the team of 90's. Waqar or Pakistani pacers got some easy wickets.
But my point is Pakistan never got short of quality pace bowlers. Till that Asif / Ameer scandal of 2010, they do not have any fast bowlers who can even compared with Imran / Sarafaraz or Wasim / Waqar or Shoaib Akhter era.
These Pakistani pacers struggle to get wicket even if the condition is favorable or opposition is little competitive.
If 80's or 90's Pakistani pacers played against this New Zealand team, they would at least did not allow to win NZ so easily.

Pakistan's current crop of fast bowlers may not be Wasim and Waqar levels of good personally, but still very good themselves and with leggies Shadab and Yasir - they are more balanced than previously for all conditions.
Their bowling isn't losing them game after game in NZ of late.
Its their batting.
It just regularly crumbles.
Its difficult to compare eras - but this current NZ team is winning a significantly higher percentage of games overall than its predecessors. And like I say, Guppie, KW and Taylor are NZ odi ATG.
There could still be found a soft middle to this current side, Safrica are 3-3 here in their last 6 games, 3-2 winners last tour, with ABDV smashing the ball, their losses were caused in no small part to Taylor and Guppie 100s , such has been the consistency of the big 3.

Test matches they do. But this is limited overs. Can win a game by taking 0 wickets.

Tidy er is comparative to most runs wins. Batsmen often score more than bowlers leak. Which is oft the margin of victory in an odi game.
I think bowlers are underrated myself in both unlimited and limited over formats.

Was. Then they invented limited overs formats and gave winners to most runs scored regardless of wickets fallen. Cheap bowlers are useful, not decisive. Most runs wins, no need to bowl anyone out.
Wicketless declarations in tests and fc are possible - just not so common to be significant.

Well at least you didn't claim the batsman expresses himself. One of my least favourite 'Croweisms' that caught on globally.
I do enjoy swing, perfect seam release from a Philander type getting nibble, and a quality spinner on a turning pitch too. When a bowler deliberately and intentionally gets lateral movement, he steals the show from being a batsman's game in my mind. Suddenly its more of a boxing match than a biological ball delivery system.
Searing pace still gives me great pleasure too unless its just fast pies.

Munro is the world's top-ranked T20 international batsman but was injured for the Black Caps' series decider against Pakistan on Sunday, which New Zealand lost. That defeat to Pakistan saw the Black Caps surrender their world No.1 T20 ranking, which Pakistan claimed.
About Munro and the Black Caps No 1 T20 ranking is something I did not know. B C take on a depleted Aussie 11 on Feb 3 at the SCG. I kinda enjoy T20 internationals.
