Raja,

I starts this topic

MarkRam run out 97 on debut
R.Dravid out 95 on debut
R.Ponting out 96 on Debut
Asim Kamal bowled by A.Nel 99 on debut

( Last person scored 8 scores of 50 in his 12 test but he can not play Hoggard,
so his test career over) ( I think his 87 @ Sydney and 91 @ Mohali were his finest effort)

Let me know if you know anyone else because Wikipedia not say much.
Australian captain Jack Ryder was only player RUN OUT both innings in his début test.

Didn't agar get to 98 or something

Yes but I found Abdul Kadir (A keeper) who was Run out for 95 on début vs Australia, playing for Pakistan, he and other Debutant Ibadulla put on 249 for the first wicket, Still first incident both debutant put on 249 in test @still a record in tests after 53 years.

So Folks, so far only 3 players run out in the 90's in test, on Debut

Grennidge- 93 run out
MarkRam - 97 run out
A.Kadir - 95 run out

Last person, a keeper, was a namesake of popular Leg spinner Abdul Qadir

Raja shree

We found 6 players who got out in the 90's but over -all 30 players Dismissed in the 90's while on début in test cricket.

Today I found 6 players who scored innings of 99 not out in tests but never reached 100 after that 99 Not out

Boycott-Tudor-M.Haq-s.Waugh-A.J.Hall and Shaun Pollock
Boycott scored 99 not out on 14th Dec.1979 while Misbah H in April 2017.

I remember Gordon Greenidge's debut. While Greenidge scored heavily in both innings, Vivian Richards, a debutant like Greenidge failed in both innings.

Interestingly, there was another Greenidge in West Indies those days, namely G A Greenidge. G A Greenidge was the sole white West Indian test player of those days.

West Indies had a fearsome batting line up those days. Greenidge and Haynes were the best opening batsmen. Richardson with his trademark hat followed and then Richards, Gus Logie etc.

I wonder when was Charlie Davis playing for WI? I heard he was most difficult player to Dismiss because vs India 4 test his average was 132.25 or so with 529 runs vs Classy spin

Full name Charles Allan Davis

Charlie Davis was a solid, dependable right-hand middle-order batsman who started his first-class career with a fifty for Trinidad aged only 17 in 1960-61 but it took a good Shell Shield season in 1967-68 - and 158 against the touring English - for him to come into Test reckoning. After one appearance in Australia in 1968-69, he made a hundred at Lord's in 1969 in only his third Test - it was West Indies only three-figure score in the series - and followed with a superb home series against India, scoring 529 runs at 132.25 in four Tests, including two hundreds and three fifties. The following season he again shone, scoring well against New Zealand and averaging 58.25 in the five Tests with one hundred, a career-best 183 at Bridgetown. But he inexplicably lost his place against Australia in 1972-73, playing only the last two Tests, despite another good domestic season, and soon drifted out of the game. He was unfortunate not only because of selectorial whims, but also that he happened to be playing while West Indies were in transition, and he was at his peak at a time new faces were forging their way into the side. He was also a good fielder and a useful seamer - good enough to head the bowling averages in Australia and New Zealand in 1968-69, where his 24 wickets included 7 for 106 against South Australia.

@cricketer international

Boycs,
I wish we play Draft for test now, About the time minimum 51 tests No current player, all retired one.

I think Proteas win 2008 Test at Bloemfontein vs Bangers, so they are hot favorites for tomorrows test, Morkal not playing, Tamim Iqbal also not playing (injured)

Either Parnell or Dane Patterson might play. What's Going to happen to bangers when they are without Tamim and Shakib outside Bangladesh, only God knows more than Mushy.

- Keshav Maharaj became the quickest South African spinner to 50 Test wickets since readmission when he dismissed Mustafizur Rahman to complete victory in the first Test. It was his 12th Test, none of which were played in the subcontinent.

- South Africa have won all four Test matches to be played in Bloemfontein, the last of which was an innings victory over Bangladesh in 2008.

- Dean Elgar needs just 16 runs to become the first South African to score 1000 Test runs in a calendar year 2017, since Hashim Amla achieved the feat in 2012.

:lmao:

Bangladesh (From): Liton Das(w), Imrul Kayes, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim(c), Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mehidy Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Soumya Sarkar, Taijul Islam, Subashis Roy

:lmao:

South Africa (From): Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram, Hashim Amla, Temba Bavuma, Faf du Plessis(c), Quinton de Kock(w), Andile Phehlukwayo, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Dane Paterson, Duanne Olivier, Theunis de Bruyn, Wayne Parnell

188 / 0
Markram 89*
Elgar 94*

Congratulation Elgar for 10 th test century
SA opener smashed 37 fours in last 53 overs,
Cong.Markram for Maiden unbeaten 100

242 for 0

Rubel Hussain who had sensational debut in test and ODI ( 6 for 26 vs NZ) impressive in his first 8 overs wth series of Bouncer but once openers settle in plenty of 4's hits by both openers.

Second successive test BD opt Field on batting Paradise after winning toss

243 for 1
276 for 2 Markram dismissed for 143
S,Roy and R.Hussain took 1 wicket each

It's looks to me,Indias record of 417 for 2 ( only Indian maximum in 90 overs)in a single days play will be broken today because so far only 58 overs were bowls

Bavuma promoted at number 4 in batting position become second wicket of Subashish Roy for 7.Bavuma hits 71 in the first test bats at 4

242 for 0
288 for 3

Southafrica's Run rate still 5 per Over despite loose 3 wickets in last 13 over, which worries me, they might break indian record of 417 for 2 in 90 overs.

Most run in a day on day one were Australia 458 for 3 when D Bradman hit 309 in 90 overs but other than that England hits 503 for 9 vs SA plus SL hits 509 at Colombo in 2002 vs Bangers were highest scores in 90 overs.

Over all India/England test at Manchester produced 588 runs in single day while Aus/pak Test were record 95 runs in 90 overs at Karachi Aus 80 all out / Pakistan 15 for 2

Just settled in to watch the last half hour. Why did Bangladesh chose to bowl first again? When South Africa are batting at home? Without your best bowler?

Amla building again. Pure class. And I see that newbie got the hundred he missed out on in the first game.

This is embarrassing for the tourists

Amla deserves to end his Test career with a 50+ average.
Class act, he is.

Right now, still in the 49-50 range but hopefully will feast on BCCI when they tour, and go past the 50-average mark.

I wonder what the highest team total to contain nothing but centuries? England’s 517/1? And also the highest team total where everyone scores a century apart from one person who made single figures :D

I do not think so. I am cautiously positive about that series. The quality of batting of the visitors will be in a different league from what is on display from the current visitors.

Quality of batting were in worst League in 2002 vs Kallis and 2008 vs D.Styen

SOA 573 for 4 dec.

BD 69 for 6

147 all out
Das 70
RABADA 5w,OLIVER 3W

BD 172
Kayes 32,Mahmudullah 43
RABADA 5W.Phehlukwayo 3w.

Proteas win by an innings and 254 runs
My m.o.m is Rabada for his 10 wickets.

Congratulation SAfrica for 2/0 white wash of BD in 3 series in a Row,i bet if Rahim bats first,BD might beaten in 2 days but game over in 2 days and 165 minutes.

2002 -2/0
2008--2/0 ( Feb)
2008 - 2/0 (Nov)
2017-- 2/0

Trivia Question was Ask recently to Stevens -- when was both opener hits DBL century in test

He says only once : When Simpson(201) And Lawry (210) both hits DBL but Stevens was Wrong 'Cause above Link says MKenzie (226)/Smith (232) in BD,put on 415 plus both hits DBL century as opener as well so ITS NOT ONLY ONCE .i wonder, how Stevens forget, Indian opener, put on 413 in test( MANKAD 231 & Roy 173) at Madras

Stevens and a Cricinfo too not correct always because yesterday Cricinfo says "" Yasir become first for 5 fer in consecutive last 5 tests but in reality it's C Turner with 6 Fifer number 1 not Yasir

All cricket records are not updated regularly in wide world of cricket, yesterday I found 52 instances of which batsman dismissed between 190/199 in test cricket.

Cricketguru not confirm that many.

Who coaches BD these days?

Hathurasinghe was coach of NSW and Sydney Thunder too.
NZ batted 27 overs for their 26 (WR in Tests) all out in 1955
