It is a fairly accurate A team from NZ. The selectors did well imo. Theres at least 4 spots up for grabs in top teams, with a guaranteed limited overs keeper role for the taking from Latham with Ronchi's retirement. George Worker will be a headache if he does well - he dominates list A and FC but fails thus far at intl. His strokeplay is too limited to score freely off more accurate bowling. He gets suffocated too easily withput a Richardson/Boycott defence and temperament. Hopefully Solia and Bruce or even Young and the frustratingly mercurial Munro outshine him.

NZ only playing 4 recognised batsmen in this match with Blundell playing as non keeper with Seifert taking the gloves.

No Munro, Bruce or Solia playing.

Worker is opening with Raval and Young and Niccolls make the middle order.

Big chances for Astle and Kuggs as allrounders ahead of of bowlers to make up the tail incl Henry, Ferguson and Sodhi.

Really hope Kuggs shines. Astle has a chance to usurp Santner with a fine all round display. I wish this was televised.

Kuggs is fighting with 10(50) as NZA are barely over 100 runs for 6 down. Seiffert is doing a similar fight. Blundell failed.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, on Monday (October 2), announced multiple captains for the five-match one-day series against New Zealand A to be played in Visakhapatnam, starting October 6. While Shreyas Iyer will lead the side in the first three games, Rishabh Pant will be the skipper for the concluding two one-dayers. Iyer was also named the captain for the two warm-up games against New Zealand to be played ahead of the three-match ODI series. Both the practice games will be held in Mumbai.
