4th wicket add 246 runs

What a shame by England who has their two bowler took near 900 test wickets between them, not able to break ''ORDINARY two PLAYERS STAND''

England bounce back with some wickets but Hope near his 150, England 100% loose here if WI not drops those couple of vital catches on day one.

I've been thinking again of or conversation before where we considered where Moeen might end up amongst those batting all rounders that have gone before. Is he a carl hooper, will he end up with similar figures to tony greig, etc. Was just following shakibs 84 against Australia and I think if he ended up with comparable achievements to Shakib I'd definitely take that. 40 with the bat, 32-33 with the ball. Excellent returns.

Stokes is one "demerit point" away from a ban.

When opposition players do it, it's a fair and honourable punishment for ridiculous pre-teen behaviour from immature luddites.

When our own players are threatened with a ban, it's a laughable pansy system made up by health and safety nutjobs and political correctness armchair warriors.

When the ball is not swinging Anderson looks a more ordinary bowler.

Expecting a Stokes hundred in this innings too, to make it a century in each innings.
Can't remember the last time a batsman did that.

That is of course assuming he gets to bat at all.

Malan and Root might take England to a score where they declare. WI will then crash to a defeat.

2-0.

West Indies have won it now. Needed at least a 70-80+ from cook.

1:1 with one to play. England over confident?

They're two ahead with three wickets down. Malan is still finding his way and may never do so.

One early wicket tomorrow would be a calamity!

You can dream for Westley in English team for Ashes but un fortunately Malan will be in the team, England should drop Westley if he already plays 7 test now.

Well Westley was catching their eye for a long longer than Malan ever was. He must have something. And it's not like we're swimming in potentials at the moment.

We're almost in danger of going back to the 1990s selection of anyone who's had a good run of county form.

I say stick with Westley and bring back hameed. They'll both come good, say I.

Westindies are lucky that, they will play two day game at Grace road right after beating England in next two days

Last test at Lords, Anderson most likely to reach his milestone there but WI's Golden chance to trash EnG in enG 2/1 right before Ashes 2017/18.

England need someone strong for number 3

Darren Bravo
Vengsarkar
Williamson
Pujara
Sangakara
Izaj Ahmed
Wadekar
David Steel

Team need someone who can Build the innings and also he need ability to stay at the wicket and not gets out in the 30's.ECB surely finds someone other than Tom Westley for Ashes his last chance at Lords.Sep 7-11,2017

His best score was 59 in test but other 4 innings he mustered 71 with 26 batting average
So Lords will be his 5th in his career, if he will go to Australia , he will be very Lucky I guess.

Guys im new to test cricket. So am looking to find out what are the likely outcomes for this match and how a draw would be a possible outcome and the likeliness of it? Always just followed 20/20 and 1 day internationals but looking to know and understand test cricket more. Thanks for any help

Looking to make a bet?

I doubt it's a draw. Batting conditions will only get harder. I can see root and the second half of the England batting line up setting some sort of score for West Indies to chase and they'll either get them or get bowled out.

If the game runs out of time and all required innings aren't completed (e.g. The team batting last is still batting but not reached the target yet) then it's a draw.

If you're used to T20 cricket, then imagine that a team that is chasing have to be bowled out to lose, or chase the target to win, but if they bat all 20 overs without being bowled out then it's a draw

Ben just dismissed for 58 off chase. Looks certain 6 but Barthwaite hold the catch.
303 for 5 , Ben Stokes dismissal reminds me of sarkar's down fall at Dhaka in similar fashion

I praised Malan for his great batting
129 partnership with Root
91. Partnership with Stokes

225 /235 WI capable to win by 3 wickets on day 5
Do you think Eng can manage 85/100 more.I doubt.suddenly very interesting game in next 3 hour.Big big turn 22/2/42/2 by Chase

Eng missing trick here by not selecting Mason Crane

Bowled by Chase.
Johnny you can not Sweep vs Chase on turn bottom of bat and took the furniture
23/2/47/3, I think Broad should hits 50 koz lead is 159 only
