God that makes me feel old. I remember his debut.

His career has surprised me more than any other in all the careers that have begun since I began following cricket. When I saw him in the first year or so, averaging 37 with the ball, I would never have believed you if you'd told me where he would end up.

I wonder while Dilruwan Pereira (95 on test debut vs Pak) came to bats before Gunaratne who is fine with the bat but Zimbabwe captain just bowled Dickwella
226 for 5

293 for 7 at the end of day 2
Srilanka still can win from here because only 63 behind.
Gunaratne (24*) and Hearth( 5*) not out batsman.

I think two sets batsman ran out in srilankan innings.
71 r.o
33 r.o

This in deed greatest fight back by Zimbabwe

Sikander Raza 97 not out
Malcom Waller 57 not out off 76 ball
Zimbabwe nearly scores 200 runs for the wicket of Moor

This game is Bang-on par.

23 for 4 in to 252 for 6

Terrific cricket by Zimbabwe, is it srilanka Declines in srilanka or they will bounce back this very month vs India in test cricket?

Zimbabwe on day 4, surely push their lead to 300 and than SL must need good starts also need to careful in running between wicket.Year 2000, Multiple centuries were scored by Zimbabwe's Flower brothers and Campbell in the same test match vs other than Bangladesh.

Zimbabwe's captain with 5 for in the first innings most likely disturbing Srilankan batsmen again plus Sean Williams too although part timer spinner might trouble srilankan with his tidy spell but Chatara too needs to take some Wickets if they force to win on day 5

Zimbabwe, from 5 down for 59 in the second innings have recovered smartly and they are now on 355/8, a lead of 365. This match has become very interesting indeed.

Yes, this match has become interesting.
More interested in this than the England game, where an England win is a foregone conclusion.

Cremer got out for 48 in the second innings, otherwise he too would have joined the "5-fer / 50 in the same match" league.

Herath picks up 11 in the game.

I think greatest knock from Sikander Raza of his career, who came at the wicket with Zimbabwe were 21 for 4 he helped his teams to push the scores to 306 before being dismissed for 127.Waller 68,Cremer 48

Zimbabwe 377 all out, so Lanka need 388 to win, un-fortunately they lost in form Tharanga and Karunaratne and they still need 308 more with Mendis on 30.

Cremer took wicket number 7 as Captain Chandimal dismissed for 15.
137 for 3.srilanka must need big stand here.

HERATH efforts reminds me of Australian spinner in his debut test in India Kretza or so took 14/16 wickets yet they were beaten.Mendis on 60*, Angie Matthews on 17*

170 for 3

Srilanka need 218 on FINAL DAY TOMORROW

SL 203 for 5 Cremer removed both Mendis 66 and Matthews 25

Congratulation Srilanka for 4 wickets victory,
Calm innings of 80 from Gunaratne saved Srilanka from humiliation.,he put on big stand with Dickwella (81) for the 6 the wicket (118) He add further 67 runs with Dilruwan Perera (29*)

Cremer took 4 for 148
Srilanka 1/0

Chandimal says "" we wants to be number one but we can not Archives in one year""

388 chased only 5 th highest in history of cricket and only first time it's happen in Srilanka.

A.Gunaratne M.O.M FOR HIS 80 not out he is very happy because he was not fit to bats but he produced his best innings for his country

(fifth time in history of cricket) score has been between 300 and 400 for all 4 innings in test

356
346
377
391 for 6

Wonderful Test match.

Hard-fought, fortunes swinging from one way to the other.

Cremer did very well, though he ended up on the losing side.

Good match for Ervine and Raza too.

For Sri Lanka, Herath with his 11 - and various batsmen, all with useful scores, contributed.

Hope to see an interesting series against BCCI.

When Sri Lanka were 237/5, THIS happened.
Dickwella was just 37 at the time.

This was cruel on Zimbabwe.

---

68.4
Sikandar Raza to Dickwella, no run, turn and bounce! Perfectly-pitched offbreak, creates an opportunity. The square leg umpire has referred a stumping chance. Dickwella is in trouble. Side-on replays show that the back foot is bang on the line. Not even an itty bitty part of the foot behind the crease. Shamshuddin, the TV umpire, examines various angles, but there is nothing behind the line. Surprising/shocking (delete by preference) decision from the TV umpire. Not out is the verdict. Zimbabwe's players are stunned, as is their coach Heath Streak in the change room. Lovely piece of bowling from Raza nonetheless. He tosses it just a shade outside off, gets it to grip and break away past the outside edge, leaving the batsman overbalanced; the keeper flips the bails off swiftly.

Zimbabwe over achieved. Lack of penetration in Zimbabwe bowling plus some missed opportunities cost them the match.

If all above has further Evidence of truth than nothing else than truth its shame for srilankan cricket.i only read score card so I do not know much about what's happen after 203 / 5 but what a crap wicket there on day 5, I wish not same track use for India series.

SL's 391 were close to WI's 418.i bet catches must dropped but Cremer's 9 wickets will remember for long time.
