I said upfront that I find it difficult to take any Test where Rahane is captain, seriously.
So I've already blanked out this Test in my mind.
For me the series ends 1-1.
Which is a moral victory for the Aussies.

Nothing great about the bully's innings.
This was a small ground, so it was ideal for him to hit a few sixes.
Let me see him hit a few at the MCG or at the Oval in England.

Whoa.
That's some hate talk.
If your fav fanboy player sneezes on same pitch it would be 8th wonder for you using EXTREME superlatives used in praise.
Here he genuinely played with CLASS & TEMPERAMENT Where EVERYONE ELSE FAILED "MISERABLY".
If I were you, I be a man & give credit where it's due whichever team a player belongs.

Small ground talk is for apologists and ground size is SAME for both teams. Duh!!!
What's so great about MCG or Oval ? No big deal. If you got talent you can shine anywhere on the planet. You don't need WAIT till they play on those dump yards to give credit and respect now when they totally deserve it, not when it's past it's expiration date.

Well played !

Jadeja can even doing same anywhere but his bowling stunned wade.

Are you working in Bangalore tomorrow ? If not, be there at 11.30 am.at cricforum to say something to
Rahane as you told him RUBBISH earlier, his confidence in Kuldeep is the fact India near series victory
rahane never lead any sides IN MULTIDAY Games, so this is great achivments to him and his team,

He draw series in Zimbabwe when top players need rest so he accept captaincy there but that was ODI
Long time ago.

Trying to think of any elegant batsmen named Smith. Old shovel hands Graeme smith, robin smith with his cut shots but not much else was elegant. Steve smith sure ain't no laxman.

Honest question

Would you rather have runs no matter what or
Have no runs to show for the same time batted but have some "style" in playing defense that yielded no runs ?

I rest my case

Oh I have no issue with effective but graceless players, it was just a point of interest. Boycott wasn't exactly graceful. Neither were ponting or prior, who are two others I didn't tire of watching when in full flow.

BCCI pulled a master stroke playing the unknown chinaman bowler Kuldeep. Our inept batsmen could not pick him and his four cheap wickets were a massive body blow from which we never recovered. That was proven by our capitulation in the second innings. Congrats India and her supporters on this forum. The baggy greens gave you one hell of a battle.

Bit harsh. If said.. it was in the heat of the moment. Imagine the emotions Smith must have been feeling as he was seeing the B/G trophy slip from his country's grasp after his amazing heroics to win this series.

Australia only need to draw this test, why they bats like ODI (45 OVERS) on day 1,even yesterday once again
Smith starts like t20 innings so entire team bowled out in 3 hours.

Come on guys.
Match is not over yet.
Rarely team batting last won a match in test cricket.
I am not sure until last run is made.
The match can still go any direction.

That is optimism at its greatest, we needed to get 2-3 wkts last night to pull off a miracle. It's not rare for a team batting 4th to win a test especially when they are only chasing less than 150 and rare as hens teeth when chasing only 106.

This is the side i think the Aussie SELECTORS will send to Bangladesh
Simith (C)
Warner, Renshaw, Handscomb, Maxwell, Khawaja, Stoinis/Cartwiright**
Wade
Starc*, Hazlewood, Cummins, Bird
Lyon, O'Keefe, Agar
Depending on fitness*. The bowlers were OK in India, overall they bowled well enough to win this series, the bats let us down. Smith and to a degree Maxwell can leave India with the heads held high, Renshaw & Handscomb had some good days and have shown a lot of promise for the future and will be better players for the experience. Cant for the life of me work out the selectors thing here**, just as likely to pick Wildermuth.

John Holland has now got 46 wkts for the season making a strong case for a spot to Bangladesh, probably Agars spot.

If that is the case then what a smack in the chops for the West Aussie who sat on a bench in India while Holland took all those wickets.
I would like the think as he is the incumbent he deserves to go to Banglaesh. Take Holland and Swepson too and leave the other duds at home.

Will make Raja's day complete, both to Jadeja. Leading wicket taker and has taken Australia out of the contest in the last 2 matches with those half centuries. And I've reckoned from day 1 Jadeja would be Australias biggest problem, L/H spinners are the Aussies biggest weakness.

Still say Smith for MOS. It has been harder batting on these decks which are foreign to Australians. Jadeja is runner up for mine.. These are Indian tracks that were specially prepared for he and fellow spinner Ashwin to do their thing.

Jadeja is MOS because his impact has been match winning

Smith has failed at important times. ie the second innings of both losses.

Why does Cummins keep bowling short and expecting a different result to being hit into the Himalayas?
