South Africa Will Win Because South Africa has Good Batting and bowling Lineup in Test Cricket and they win Series against Sri Lanka with huge margin and they have positive energy to start new test game against New Zealand

New Zealand have a bit of a spark about them though, and they are playing at home. But you're probably right, I think South Africa has collectively the best team going currently. Australia and India have some great players but more weak spots. South Africa are pretty compact from one to eleven

Likely NZ team:

Raval
Latham
KW
Taylor
Niccols
Watling

Vs

Cook
Elgar
Amla
Faf
JP
Bavuma
De Kock

NZ

Santner
CDG
Wagner
Southee/Patel
Boult

Vs

Philander
Rabada
Morkel
Maharaj

(Allrounders C Morris and W Parnell are in the squad and likely to bat 8 or below if required to play).

Safrica just beat Aus in Aus. Even without Steyn and Abbot, their seam bowling stocks are all class. There is a hint of vulnerability without ABDV though but it appears that they will probably bat deeper than NZ and with Rabada they have a fantastic swing bowling option with Philanders seam and Morkel's pace and bounce. Look for a gutsy effort from Wagner again. If NZ are to win or draw series then the NZ batsmen have to stand up: Raval, Latham, Niccols and Watling must support KW and Taylor. The fear I and many NZ fans have is how many times, if any, Morkel, Rabada, and Philander cut the NZ innings below 300, 250, 200, 150 or worse. If Amla and de Kock run rampant with support Faf, Bavuma, JP, Cook and/or Elgar- NZ will have their backs against the wall.

Series is immense for Niccols with Guptill publicly eyeing up the #5 spot in the team. If Wagner or CDG is dropped for Patel as a second spin option and not Southee - my support for Hesson as test coach is likely to wane pending circumstances.

Dean Elgar hundred makes it a saffers day but New Zealand have kept them under control at 229/4 at stumps. At one stage they were 22/3!

Still a score that could go either way, still could be all out 300 or go onto 450.

Dean Elgar and our own Ed Cowan are clones. Same build, same hand, same temperament. I must tho ask the question how did Elgar survive?. He looked all at sea against the Kiwi spinners.
Interesting Black Caps have dropped Tim Southee or is he injured?

Very interesting match for the 4 bowlers and 6 batters or 5 batters and a batting allrounder with 4 bowlers debate.

South Africa picked an out of form #6 batsman who scored valuable runs and batted a lot of time in Bavuma. Morkel is off the field injured.

Fascinating case study for the ol' debate.

Taylor retired hurt with a bung calf. Nicchols not scoring runs at 5, Latham out of form, and no Taylor at 4 leaves the weak batting further fragile.

Munro, dropped from the one day team hit 2 centuries in 1 fc match but could Guptil get a middle order sos?

Brownlie, Broom, Bruce are all having good fc summers and worn limited overs shirts this year. Briwnlie could be a Saffir specialist guven his ability to play seam well as spin is his archilles heel but he's not a long term option. Guptill, Munro and Bruce as middle order selections would be interesting experiments for me. I'd have dropped Nicchols long ago myself.

Cream always come to the top. Williamson first and then daylite. JA Raval a new name? Watling scoring late vital runs for the Black Caps.

They'll be pleased to nab a draw though, even if rain affected. South Africa are a strong opponent.

1st innings lead to NZ - but more pleasing was the NZ bowlers ability to dry up Safrican run scoring. Santner has been miserly, and Boult was parsimonious as well at times. Slowing strong opponent scoring is a good skill to help not lose games, even while trying to win them, something England apparently forgot in India.

Pity that a match that was shaping up so well (despite the slow scoring rate) was ruined by rain on the last day.

Impressed by Elgar.

Queenstown is beautiful and world reknown but its a playground for wealthy millionaires incl international celeb getaways. You could be forgiven for thinking its part of Australia during the ski season. Rich Australians have made it their domestic ski slopes seeing those on Aus are crap.

NZ being small islands does have a lot of coastal cities but the sulfur smell is just Rotorua. Thats one small cheap tourist town full of natural hot mud pools.

Taranaki is #2 on Lonely Planet so that may become a tourist mecca joining the aforementioned 2. It has a single large mountain on the coast. I imagine its an incredibly cheap holiday but I do not know to confirm.

I'd like too see Townsville in Qld, that looks gorgeous, like a more developed Mt Maunganui/Tauranga.

Not only is it not - do you really think if it were, Taranaki could afford to outbid far bigger and wealthier municipalities.
