Nothing wrong with the pitch, take this any day over the boring roads we get in Australia.

The best batsmen in this tour Mitchell Starc yet to come.

It'll not come to that. Wade will do it easy.

We can still do it, guys.
I still have hope for 2-0.

Starc, SOK, Hazlewood, Lyon can ALL bat.
And there's my adopted kid, Handcomb, still in there.

Wade goes for a duck and all of Australia's fears have come to fruition. Warner, Wade, Marsh brothers are all potato's against spin and this innings is proof.

Only hope is a M Starc and SOK rear guard. I dont see it happening though

Australia's lack of batsmen in this match has cost them

How the series has played out a genuine number 6 batsmen would have been the way to go.

Do Indians remember that Test against SA?

When Klusener and Boucher(?) took SA to victory?

This could go the same way!

It wasn't Klusener & Boucher.
It was Kallis & Boucher.

Not reviewing Shaun Marsh decision was poor from Smith.
Can't blame Marsh, he depended on his captain's judgment.

Even to the naked eye, it looked a dubious decision.

Gavaskar can be hilarious at times!
Unintentionally.

They're discussing the Shaun Marsh dismissal.
Hayden is saying there was no way it should have been given out, seeing as it was pitched outside off.
Gavaskar says, Smith probably didn't want to review it, because he probably wanted to keep a review for himself, in case this didn't go their way. :-)

Despite losing the world's best batsman to a shooter that barely got above his ankle I am still holding out hope the Aussies can get home. Handscomb is a good player and will only get better. Thankfully we have a more than a useful tail.

Go easy on the Aussie insults Verity. Some very patriotic people on this forum. Remember that.

Smith was standing too wide at the non strikers end. He had no clear view of it.

They'll probably look back at that and say it cost them the match. How about playing 5 batsmen and carrying a bowler they barely even used costing them the match.

Its 11 vs 10.

just for the record, 87 has struck 4 times in this match

I blame the late Richie Benaud for making a big deal about this number and now its in the minds of all Australian players and Indians are happy to remind them about it

You make a good point raja. But if Marsh had not have played such a brain dead shot.. or should I say a non shot.., Smith's judgement would not have been needed.

The Aussie commentator (not sure if it's Haydos or Lee or Clarke) feels it is 70-30 for BCCI, right now.
I disagree.
He's underestimating our lower order batting.

India need 3 wicket to win

Postby Raj92 » Tue Mar 07, 2017 9:10 am

Australia 276 & 103/7 (29.4 ov)

29.4
Ashwin to Starc, OUT, full ball, no turn, and India are three strikes away. Natural variation again. Starc defends for the turn, but there is no turn on this offbreak, and he has had his off stump pegged back. India ecstatic. The jack in the box gone
MA Starc b Ashwin 1 (6b 0x4 0x6) SR: 16.66
