Sachin, Sharma, Viv are all twice over 180. 180 is a fairly artificial metric designed for Guptil - 175 makes more sense to me if not 150.

Sehwag not twice.

More interestingly - the worst #5 batsman in odi cricket is in in the 12 th over. Today the NZ middle order will sink or swim.

Ronchi 0 (10) - looks tentative and going at the ball with hard hands.

Taylor out. Ronchi 1(15) got a huge cheer for getting off the mark.

Neesham and Ronchi - the weakest 5 and 6 combo playing intl cricket at moment. Might be Santner or CDG day tho.

Pathetic total by NZ batsmen. No surprises there, though. The middle order is pathetically weak, and the tail has been better in the past than Jeetan Patel as well but a second spinner is not the real issue.

NZ are kidding themselves if they think Ronchi and a non bowling Neesham are a #5 and #6 to take this team forward. I expect more collapses until this selection farce is remedied.

Kuggeleijn, Philips, Bruce and co are possibly the future. Brownlie isn't. And bar Philips - they've done their qualifying time and Philips was given a t20i.

Guptill
Philips
KW
Taylor
Solia
Bruce
Kuggeleijn
CDG/Anderson/Neesham (if he remembers how to bowl)
Santner
Southee/Sodhi
Boult

Further options to Bruce and Solia is Worker if further bowling options ae deemed necessary.
