Wahab is unlucky there, nothing on hot spot and the littlest spike on snicko, benifit of the doubt batsmen IMO.

OKeefe will get just enough turn in India
You dont need to spin it a lot on turners

Mitch Marsh is having a cracking Big Bash so he'd be back in the picture now.

M Marsh Big Bash 2016/17

210 runs @ 70, Strike Rate 152.17

3 wickets @ 36.66

This would've been a draw against South Africa, England, NZ or India. Younis and Misbah hauling out to big shots just typifies Pakistan cricket, weak in the head.

Pakistan cricket for ya

Told ya this would be a piss easy series leading up to it.

12-0 Australia past 4 series now here

But coming off a series we were always going to win probably spells danger come India, good chance we'll go about as good as Pakistan went here.

I think the bowlers have let Pakistan down this series.
Only Wahab Riaz has been okay.

Amir was excellent without reward for a large part but apart from him and Wahab all the rest were shit as shit gets.

Yasir Shah was a huge disapointment, everyone was calling him the best spinner in the world... no way in the world is he

I'd pick Hazlewood as Man of Series.

15 wickets at 19 on these 3 roads is more Man of Series worthy then Smiths exploits, plus 40 maidens and only going at 1.99 an over.

Hazlewood 32 wickets at 20 over the 6 Tests, easily the best bowler in the world IMO.

Probably also quite a few dropped catches and poor field placements didnt help Pakistan bowlers either

This was way too easy for the Aussies. Congrats, guys!

Am very disappointed with our performance in this series.

Even the "close" first Test was thanks to that second-innings declaration, otherwise we were anyway dead and buried.

Our quicks are hopeless with the kookaburra ball in hand. When even Trenshaw and Trandscomb start getting piles of runs, you know how hopeless our bowling is.

Yasir has been a big disappointment too. Much like Chandra Down Under in 1967-68, but at least then India had Prasanna. We had no one this time to turn to, if Yasir were to flop.

Our batting too has been a disappointment.

Expected better from Sami Aslam. And even Sharjeel in this Test. Our openers keep letting us down.

And though Younis got 175* in this game, he's struggled.

And Misbah, playing terrible shots all series!

Overall, our batsmen just seem to lack the temperament or fight to frustrate the bowlers. Hazlewood and co are pretty ordinary bowlers - till you let them get to you.

This reminds me of the 2011 tour of BCCI to Australia. An ordinary Hilfenhaus was made a hero by the likes of Tendulkar!

Hazlewood is a grossly over-rated bowler.
I'll rate him only if he performs in the next Ashes series.

more like under rated, Starcs the one the media get a hard on over. Hazlewood flies under the radar.

Same with Starc, actually.

I'd rate an Aussie player based ONLY on his Ashes performances.
Especially in England.

Other series, against Windies, BCCI, SA - all nice, but they don't matter to me.

The ASHES - that's what cricket is all about.

Performances in England are massive I agree because the pitches and conditions are generally more bowler friendly while in Australia they are absolute roads and I could probably average 50.

McGrath started in a similar way.

Hazlewood is made for England conditions a genuine mover of the ball both ways.

Australia winning an Ashes series in England is extremely enjoyable, though it's not happened for a while now.
Just winning the odd Test isn't enough. We need to win an Ashes series IN England.
Invariably our batsmen fail us.

Having said that, I'm always VERY worried when England tours Australia.
The main reason is that when the Aussies tour England, they go as underdogs nowadays.
So expectations are low.

But when England tours Australia, for some reason, suddenly everyone begins to treat the Aussies as favourites.
This makes me even more nervous.
I still have scars of that 2010-11 series which started off for 1 or 2 days as Australia's series, and then Cook took over.

So,I never ever EVER EVER under-estimate England. You never know when there's a Broad inspired spell round the corner, or an annoying Stokes whirlwind innings.

The only time you can relax in an Ashes Test is AFTER you've won.

Does Australia really need Maxwell or Head at 6 in India? Neither will add anything with the ball, Lyon and O'Keefe hold the key, a spinning allrounder when neither are quality spinners is pointless to me.

Head has quite a good A tour of India a couple years ago, when Usman Khawaja was captain. That series seemed to benefit both players. SOK also did well there.
Head has gone down a bit lately though. Its probably gone to his head.
