I might go just to watch this dialogue, the best in the history of Indian cinema. ready for it? Here it is, "Pooray pachaas hajar".

Love Mac RIP. I am sure after his family and close friends, I was the saddest person after hearing of his death. It is a shame that he never got an opportunity to do a rape scene. In one movie, he made a half-assed rape attempt on Anita Raj but the fuckin hero spoiled it and beat the shit out of Mac.

Sholay is overrated. Never understood the fuss. A rank bad picture in my opinion... but what do I know.

Watched Dedh Ishqiya last night. Liked it. 4 stars.

Comedy was great. Urdu film about lucknow poets and nawabs. Madhuri looks old, but still hot. Huma qureshi is a beautiful woman. Like his personality. Warsi was really funny and Naseeruddin was brilliant as usual. do watch it. strongly recommended.

Watched a couple of pretty good classics ... Untouchables, Traffic (although this may not be old enough to be called a classic as yet) and Philadelphia.

Really good movies!

I used to love watching movies, but I just don't get the time now to watch the movies that I prefer.

I have been watching Lion King for over a month now

There is this new channel under testing and they were showing Bruce Lee movie as test signals.. and best thing, no ads except every end of movie there would be a 2 minute test pattern telecast.. (gave me time to refill my coffee, or go to the loo)..

These were the movies I watched BACK to back

Big Boss
Fist of Fury
Enter the Dragon
Return of the Dragon
And another with a funny name.. all BL classics

Then they had a few Fake bruce lee movie with a dude called bruce Le.. which were ok.. not bad the dude looked reasonably Bruce Lee and his action were fairly good imitations.

Then they had blood sport and another one..

It made a good week of late night time pass ..

To make me stay glued to the theater seat for longer than 10 minutes, a film will have to be exceptionally well made from the the moment credits start rolling or else ... I rather leave family behind to let them enjoy the film while I walk out into the empty lobby and enjoy company of listening stories of young girls working at soft drink counters to support themselves and pay for the college. Last couple of movies I watched without leaving the theater seat were Dabaang and Pappu cant dance.

That ... or give me hilarious films made so badly that all you can is sit and 'wonder' at the stupidity and predicaments of everyone involved in the making ... downloaded from YT and have watched SPY IN ROME countless times. Most of EDWARD WOOD movies are my most favorite. Spy in Rome makers had enough money to bring entire cast to Europe but forgot to take along brains.

badri, hope you have watched Mohabbat ke dushman or dance dance of the 80s, where Amrish Puri rapes two women before the credits have stopped rolling. Best beginnings to hindi movies ever. Poor woman is singing zooby, zooby, zooby and Puri, a chief guest, with his lustful eyes is fantasizing about her.

Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam

If you understand Tamil, this is a fun movie that I happened to watch recently.
Total tapori dialogues - very crisp.

I liked it so much I watched it three times in a short timespan. :-)

There's a subtitled version available on youtube too but a lot of the fun is lost because most of the fun is in the dialogues.
So best if you can understand Tamil.

honestly cannot get enough of gods must be crazy and hatari.. I have watched them gazillion times but yet they tickle me pink.. must be the retard in me.. but I love such movies.. CC, Laurel and hardy, and ONLY 2 hindi movies have as yet managed to have some similar effect.. JBDY, and Had kardi aapne.. There is another gem of a movie which I cannot find anywhere and still regret returning that DVD to that store.. I should have swiped it and paid the fine.. it was called brain donor or the the brain donor. HIllarious.

the second one is not good in the sense when comparing to the first. The director thought no point continuing the story so he took out a documentary about animals where he shows animals doing silly things in the wild.. that is about it. it is like watching discovery or animal planet.. So while it is interesting.. it is not story based comedy at all.

Or to put it more bluntly, it was a rather blatant yet failed attempt to cash in on the fame of the first one.. it is no sequel or anything of that sort. I told my daughter GMBC movie hero is a coke bottle and she was curious and watched it and then proclaimed, come to think of it, it IS the hero of the movie.

Seriously it's three hours of drugs and ass.

Not a movie, but I checked out a Midsomer Murders episode from work called Dead Man's Eleven. It's cricket related if that isn't clear. Oh snap, it's on YouTube too.

Not my favourite Hitchcock but still ok.

The best hitchcock movie (dunno why I feel so) may be a personal choice.. "murder on the orient express". For someone who seeks logic in the sequence of events, it was perhaps the most well connected set of events. Very catching, and very involved yet very simple in its own way. Hitchcock, christie and Holmes are and perhaps will always be my favs.. Chiristie's "and then there were none" and holmes "the dancing men" and "study in scarlet" always make me engrossed.

Will watch a movie tonight, everyone has good things to say about "Saving Private Ryan " but for some reason I can't bring myself to watching it.

3 movies on my list

1. Saving Private Ryan
2. Inception
3. Shutter Island

Any good western movie recommendations?

I loved 3:10 to Yuma - 9/10. Christian Bale is one of my all time favorites.

shutter island is crap. skip it.
saving ryan's privates is more "entertainment" than saving private ryan. Also, if you are not American I doubt you get it.

inception is one of the best movies made in the recent decade. I strongly recommend it.
