I really do.

Let's put it this way. I like him MUCH MORE than Tendulkar.
I know that's not a particularly high bar but still.... :-)

Chiku himself rates SRT better than him and Lara

Who's Chiku? Kohli?

What do you expect Kohli to say? That he's better than SRT?

Sam Curran is just 20 yrs 60 days!
Youngest for England to take a 4-fer.

First I was puzzled. Then I checked - all along I thought this was Tom Curran.

Kevin Curran would be proud of his sons. :-)

This is not a clinical England side.
Not very competitive either.

Dhawan, Kohli (multiple times), Rahane, Pandya....all had lives.

Looks like my dream of BCCI being crushed isn't going to happen.

Rather BCCI could well crush England.

Congrats, Kohli.
Yes, you were dropped a couple of times and had a close call on a few occasions, but a hundred IN England is always special for me.
I've always said getting runs IN England in Tests is what I care most about - and I won't go back on my word.

Hope to see a lot more runs from you in this series.
All the best!

What this innings will do for Kohli is that it will give a big boost to his morale as a batsman.
He had a terrible record in 2014, there would have been questions if he'd failed today too.
He almost did - but once he got into his stride, he became the Kohli we all know so well. :-)

What an excellent showing here from Kohli.
Brought BCCI to within 13 runs of England.
So it's as good as a one-innings game from here.

Now for the bowlers to get inspired by this.
Still about 7-8 overs to go, so maybe pick up one or two?

We've recovered well here.
67/3 now.
This is where BCCI will be made to realise what a liability Ishant is.
It would help if you had pressure from both ends - Ashwin is putting pressure from one end, Ishant is releasing it from the other. :-)

Question is, at what score should we declare?
What lead would be enough?
150?

I think Boyce's should come out to see Ishant spell
Because he is worst critics of Ishant

After Lunch Curran /Buttler/ Rashid/ Broad and Anderson must score another 100 runs atleast

No idea where Boycs is. He's completely disappeared.
Hope he is well.

We will get at least another 150. We bat very deep, all the way down to No11.
Even Anderson has an 80 in Tests.

We will win this - the lead is already 99.

Pujara is RUBBISH in England.
He has been playing county cricket for a while to "acclimatize" himself with the conditions.
Miserable failure.
He doesn't have the game for English conditions.

Dhawan is rubbish too - but at least he can get you 20-25 in an hour.
Pujara won't get you even that much, and if he does, he'll take 3 hours to do it.

Pant, I don't know.
As I expected, Karthik hasn't impressed with the gloves.
How is Pant as wicketkeeper?
Safe?

The most amazing thing about that stat above is that of 19 instances since Adelaide 2003 that BCCI was chasing a 100+ score, they lost SEVEN times.
Wow!

Rahane gone now.
63/4.

Letting England get to 180 after having them at 90-odd for 7.
That was poor!

Getting 194 in these conditions against this quality attack was always going to be difficult.
Guys like Rahul don't have much experience playing the moving ball.

Ashwin gone now.
78/5.
This feels a lot like Capetown.

Need to remember that if we dismiss the opposition for a low 3rd innings score, it means we will struggle in the 4th.'

Always look at the quality of the opposition attack in the conditions.

Poor Kohli. This is just too much for him. Unfair to expect him to keep carrying the side.

Vijay, Dhawan, Rahul and Rahane - all poor, though Rahul got a superb delivery.

No, there was a Curran who played for Zimbabwe in their early years. In fact, he played for them in the 1983 World Cup - I remember him playing in that game when India were 17/5 and Kapil got 175*/

Sam Curran is his son.

As is Tom Curran who also played recently for England.
