Dawson conceded only 17 from 4 overs bowling at AB. Good stuff.

Nasser is right though, Dawson isn't much of a headline act.

Roy has unleashed some gorgeous hits. 22 from five balls. Only took one domestic game to get his eye back in.

44 from 5 overs with no wickets down

And I jinx out the first wicket as Roy plays one cute shot too many.

Gave us a good start 28 from 14 balls

Tahir drops it short and bairstow slams it to the boundary despite a seriously committed attempt to stop it in the deep. Hales 36 and bairstow 45 from 25

Fifty for bairstow and only 8 needed to win from 39 balls.

Dominating victory over South Africa.

How could South Africa only score 142 with 3 down?

Were they treating this match as batting practice?

They struggled to get the ball away. AB in particular couldn't time it off the square when Dawson was bowling

At Taunton for today's game. My former home town tools packed to the rafters.

And England bowl first on this batting paradise. The wind is ripping in though.

Come on Somerset show us some West Country pride with those spectators.

Morkel is back for South Africa - where was he? - so that's a threat. No Tahir though and no crane for England either. Ground too small maybe

England rest/drop hales and wood?! I guess they want to experiment but both of those played well last match.

We'd still like to win the game you know

Jordan lets a boundary go between his legs, bowls three wides one of which nearly goes to first slip, then gets smashed for six.

Thanks for coming. You're crap.

TOM CURRAN!

First ball in international cricket top edged for miles only just evaded a fielder, second ball in international cricket under edged into the stumps!

Boom! South Africa one down.

63/2 a clutch moment. Will South Africa pause at the wicket? Will England get AB early or will he move from C to Z of his reportoire before this innings is over?

Four wickets gone now but AB is ticking. He's reached T for Timing and is 36 from 17.

Plunkett and Curran have bowled sharp. Jordan has bowled poorly. I think they might want to ship him out for a better bowler. We don't need his extra batting though he is normally an athletic fielder.

Wiley has bowled well too. Pacey and with a bit of bounce.

Taunton is really coming off well here too. Excellent crowd. Really chuffed.

But AB falls!

Slightly underhit a slog and Morgan takes the catch.

Now this is a clutch moment. Will SA choke away their advantage? They have scored quickly so far but will be ever fearful that England can score quickly too at such a small and batting-friendly ground.

The commentators think 190 is a par score!

And Jordan drops a catch but it was hit so far it was bouncing off his face before he could get his hands up so nothing he could do about that.

When it rains it pours though

Two more wickets for debutant curran. Raja will be pleased. A catch at long on then KERPLUNK bowled 'im!

Livingstone the other debutant dropped a simple catch off the wayward Jordan so that's not brilliant but never mind.

Another full toss from Jordan. Rubbish. Having a really poor game. Can't fault him for the dropped catch but he let one through his legs and bowled a ball at first slip, and several wife's and useless full tosses. Going at ten an over.

And he's mediocre with the ball anyway. We don't need the extra batting - all 15 runs of it - get a better bowler in.

Jordan takes a wicket with a good full delivery but I'd argue not worth the runs he's cost. Poor game.

Curran the bowler of the innings with plunkett and Wiley also bowling very well.

Dawson bowled okay too, and England kept SA down on this super batting friendly ground.

Now to the chase!

Keep your head on Roy. None of that swishy nonsense. A big swish and miss and then a loose slog that plugs at long on.

Morkel bowls a fuller length ball that bounces off Roys shoulder haha
