Very clinical you're right. But Bangladesh didn't do too badly with the bat. I say full credit for them this tournament.

Have similar sentiments about England

Rishi Kapoor is following Sehvag's footsteps on twitter, trolling quite a lot of Pakistanis also coping a lot of abuse.

Twitter is very interesting ATM.

I think Pakistan is the team you often think will lose, but you never put money on it.

For the Final, I would bring in Umesh Yadav for Hardik Pandya. Pandya is leaking far too many runs.

India needs him vs BD but its too late for OVAL, Dose not matter because it will be 600 runs wicket.I think Pakistan trash England in 2016 at oval's Batsman Friendly wicket ( Pakistan even clean up ENG in limited over by scoring 302 at Cardiff and trash again in Manchester in t20 during 2016 full tour )

Pakistan 8th Ranked but hey WI just missed to push feeble Pakistan to number 9 as last ODI vs Afghanistan washed out, so WI lost their chance for WC

Rains saved Pakistan.

WI beat Afghanistan 3/0 in t20 but 3 match ODI 1/1 as the last match ENds with no result.WI 's last chance to improves their ranking when we starts their tour of 5 ODI in this month.

Does this make Britain "Grandaddy"?

Be careful not to offend sovereign states or offense may be returned.

And given India and Pakistan were granted independence at the same time, this person's anthropoligical humour is poor or at the very least historically and anthropoligically innaccurate.

That's insulting for English team too.

Pakistan was created out of (then undivided) India....

Bangladesh was created out of Pakistan....

Ergo, India -> Pakistan -> Bangladesh

I think Aamer Sohail's comments are in very poor taste.
Best way to respond to him is to repeat the performance on the field.'
Come on, Sarfraz - show Aamer that you can do it again!

That's the intended humour but the reality is both India and Pakistan were created at the same time, 15 August 1947, out of the then previously undivided lands of British Raj.

As I know India & Pakistan both got freedom from British kingdom. Bangladesh got independent from Pakistan. However, should we discuss this topic in this thread!!!
Let's have another thread regarding the history of Indian sub continent and Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies as well. As those countries also got out of British kingdom.

Better we concentrate on that idiotic comment from Ameer Sohail :). Is he jealous??? He got World Cup. Why he is jealous of present Pakistan team success? Is he a member of PCB or as he is not he is trying to make controversy out of jealousy???

Pretty sure the Queen of England is still my monarch in NZ represented by the Governor General. Australia is not a republic yet, neither. NZ and Aus are independent nations with sovereignty that choose to still be under the British Crown and our national independence and constitution is sourced through the British Crown, our sovereign. Think this may be true for some Carribean states as well.

I think that's the case of all the nations of the commonwealth.

It may sound weird, but it makes me feel an odd affinity for people from these countries. Having such a historical continuity with people from the other end of the world. I'd love to go to New Zealand and Australia. Met my first Australian the other day. Visited much of the carribean in 2007.

Commonwealth is different and has members who are republics like India and Pakistan (tho typically former territories of the British Empire).

NZ, Aus, Canada and USA share a unique history re: Britain, tho 13 colonies in the now known USA of course didn't like the price of tea.

NZ had it it earlier this month, a national holiday where new dames, knights and qc's are announced.

The difference is, India existed before Pakistan existed. Yes, as a colony of the British, but it existed earlier as an entity. The country Pakistan was created out of India. Similarly the country Bangladesh was created out of Pakistan.

Thus, there were Indians even before the British colonised India. But there were no Pakistanis before Aug 1947 - they were Indians till then. There were no Bangladeshis before the country Bangladesh got created - they were Pakistanis till then.

That India and Pakistan got independence from the British in Aug 1947 is something else. Your statement says that India was created only in Aug 1947. It was not. Pakistan was created in Aug 1947.

There was no national entity known as India prior to 1947 that I am aware of. Of course the land and people were there, as were Persian and British empires in rule at times over land in the sub-continent, but no Indian nation until 1947.

As far as I know, Pakistan was not created out of the Indian nation. Pakistan and India were both created out of the territories of the British Raj.

Nation states are not as old as man, city states typically date back further than nations, and Athens and Rome for example certainly had large empires spanning vast territories at their peak.

A simple question.

India played its first Test in 1932 at Lord's against England.

How did this happen if India got created only in Aug 1947?

The West Indies comprises how many nations and dominions?

Australia only became a nation in the 20th century but were playing tests in the 19th century.

The World XI has previously been given test status.

The logical flaw of your argument is the assumption that the MCC (or now ICC) granting a team or match test status somehow makes that team representative of a nation.

Bharat is indias original name.
It's after a king that ruled entire land way before British has an existence as a country.

Oh and Raja, in that match, hadn't an Indian player played for England or about to the next year in Australia for England.

Correction: Nawab debut'd in Ashes 32/33 so could not have played a test in 1932 against England. He later played for both teams. But Ranji had of course previously played for England.

Punjab
Afghania
Kashmir
Sindh
Baluchistan

"I" added later on to provide a meaningful name.

I am sure some native Eskimos, American Indians, and Hawaiians are bemused at USA celebrating its independence and birth as a sovereign nation state every July 4, as are Maori towards national celebrations in NZ in Feb (for when Britain arguably were granted sovereignty), and Aboriginees in Australia in its national day celebrations every January, but the legal and political recognition of nationhood is what it is, and not typically a matter of antiquity. Just ask Israelis and Palestinians.

Jason Roy did exactly the right thing. Went back to a county game and smashed 92 from 80-odd deliveries. Promptly gets some form so he can feature strongly in England's next one day series.

"I" added later on to provide a meaningful name.

R.Adhwin Doubtful. I think he was dropped after first game when he keep dropping catches.VK not sure to includes him because vk has more faith for KJ and Jadoo = 20 overs.when Ash was there, Kedar not even bowls 36 balls spell.

I think its nit good idea to drops Umesh and includes PANDYA for his 10 over spell. India might includes extra batsman,
I think Ashraf might return

30 from last 3 overs. Wow. Explosive batting by Pakistan. Do we see 350?
