Srilanka loosing top 3 in first 15 ,Despite Dickwe'lla's 41*

Ashraf just removed Out of form Chandimal for 0

82 for 3. I think match is evenly poised because Pakistan weakest team in chasing, simple targets

I don't know which side to support today.
Am very fond of both teams.

I think I might support Pakistan only because they probably have a better chance of beating England in the semis than SL do.

SL's chance of beating England : 0%
Pak's chance of beating England: 1%

Srilankan operator shuts down Live games in USA on Willow.TV

No live games showing since SL slumped to
161 for 3
174 for 7

Or is it technological issue?

Yes. But he's out now.
Good innings, but SL still in trouble.
213/8 will require a Pak implosion - for which SL might not have the bowling capability.

236 all out.
20 years ago, this used to be a "corridor" score.
230-250 was the corridor, anything above was considered a good score.

As long as we have Sarfaraz, I still have hope.
And Aamir can bat too.

Congrats Pakistani fans. You made a mess of an easy win though. Atleast they got a captain with balls. I would still give MOM to one of bowlers for making it a low score target. Fahid better not walk or sleep alone tonight.

These are decent folks.
Aamir too has learnt his lesson.

These guys don't get a chance to play international cricket on their own grounds.
Am really happy for them.

Hopefully they'll win this.

I really like Sarfraz. In fact I like the whole team.

ICC Champions Trophy: June 1-18, 2017 in England

Postby Going South » Mon Jun 12, 2017 7:43 pm

Was wondering

In the match between ECB & PCB who would all the Muslim population of Briton support?

I won't be surprised if they all support Pakistan instead of country they live, while they get British social security, eat, drink, get amenities for better living provided by British government, yet to most, religion is above country. They might not even be of pakistani origins is my point.

If you are a British citizen, would you be pissed off for their support to opponents?

PS: Same applies to Indian origin British citizens supporting BCCI instead of ECB if they face each to an extent. But the anger would be even more towards Muslim support to other foreign teams now in the wake recent terror incidents involving Muslims.

Many Indians know the burn as we witnessed some Muslims of India distribute sweets on the streets whenever BCCI lost to PCB in a match.

First of all, if British people of Pakistani (or Indian or Bangladeshi) origin support Pakistan (or India or Bangladesh) instead of England, other British folks would perfectly understand.

Look at the recent elections. A number of Muslims won seats. The mayor of London is a Muslim.

That's the really nice thing about Britain.

Yes, I don't want England to win anything - but that chip on my shoulder has only to do with sports. (Scars from childhood when England used to thrash India in cricket everytime).

Other than that, especially when it comes to social/cultural matters, I think Britain is much more open-minded than most of the rest of the world.

Today's India could learn a lot from Britain about being accepting of other cultures & viewpoints.

That is true in a perfect world.
But since last couple of terror incidents in Britain their perfect world has turned upside down.
Just as their hung parliament half of Britons are still liberal and half now won't tolerate it esp if it's non Pakistani England citizens joining Pakistani British to cheer against the British team is my point. The scars are still raw as of now.

True enough, though we've had deadlier Islamist extremist attacks in 7/7.

Brexit is a bigger source of national division I would say. It's a huge mistake

SARFARAZ will be out of final if they beat England on 14 th plus one more time sarfaraz not completes
50 overs in 3 hours 30 minutes.

Pakistan captain loose his match Fees by 20% while all others loose 10% fees as ICC caught Pakistan
Fields too long.

Ofcourse over time penalty is exclusively imposed on Asian teams only by ICC. If your skin color is white there is NO penalty. That's the ICC way. Deal with it Pakistani captain !!
