Rest In Peace great man.

He's battled with kidney disorder for a long time but his sudden death is still very shocking. A country is in mourning at the moment.

He is considered as the first global super star in rugby but the amazing person he was off-field is the reason he is so deeply admired by rugby fans and a huge number of sports fans in general.

He's got two very young kids and one of his goals was to see them turn 21. It's absolutely gutting that he won't see them grow up.

I don't follow rugby enough to know he was unwell. Very sad.

Does anyone know what kidney problem he had?

He had nephrotic syndrome and has battled with it for a long time even during very early on in his playing career. He got a transplant but his body rejected it in 2011.

There wasn't any news of his health worsening though. He was heavily involved promoting the world cup in England and apparently came back from a holiday in Dubai yesterday.

Sucks.

I've watched a bunch of Lomu videos on YouTube thanks to Synergy getting me into rugby in 2011.
@SuperGLS on Twitter. Also @JustDonkeys for awesome donkey news.
