They've been instead the 5 a bunch of times but then just make a mistake. Poor.

Having rugby withdrawal...
One more day till the weekend. Wales vs Fiji today should be good too.
I am sure all the English would be keen Fijian fans today hoping for an upset.

A phenomenally rare event will occur this weekend.
Kiwis will be supporting an Australian sports team!

I find that hard to believe. You are not admitting you are afraid to face England in the later stages are you?

Re: Rugby World Cup 2015
Oh I definitely am. England with the home support behind them would be tough. Much better if they are knocked out in the pool stages.
The All Blacks can do with any help they can get. We've put in three pretty underwhelming performances in a row in this world cup so far.

Really forward to the England vs Australia game. Essentially a knock out game, at least for England.
Strangely England are talking up their chances and Australia are talking down their chances... I think someone has been messing with the laws of arrogance again.

England have owned Australia in every sport over the past decade, especially at home
I dont see this trend changing any time soon, they're letting us know whose boss

Oh dear England are in trouble now.
Great half of high quality rugby though, particularly from Australia. Mike Brown made a couple of crucial mistakes leading up to the first try. Second try was just class by Australia.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2015
Wow that was some statement by Australia. That was as a good a performance as I've ever seen from them.
Next week's game against Wales is going to be massive as well. The looser will have a show down with South Africa in the quarters and the winner will likely play either Scotland or Japan and have almost a certain place in the semis. If Australia top the pool, they are going to be very, very hard to stop from here.
England on the other hand are the first hosts to not make it out of the pool stages. A nightmare situation for the tournament organisers.
Well done Australia, well done indeed.

not a huge nightmare
they'll support Wales now and the tickets are probably already sold anyway

Good day of rugby. Shame I was at work and instead of watching video I was watching text updates. Oh well.
Love England losing. Love it!

Maybe RFU won't be too bothered with ticket sales and there is enough expats in UK to fill stadiums. The TV broadcasters in England, companies who've paid millions for ads, pubs etc will feel the pinch though. The host going out early in a world cup normally deflates it a bit.

they only have a game against the USA remaining and even if they win they most likely wont qualify for the next phase.
pretty unlucky with 3 wins and 1 loss

Re: Rugby World Cup 2015
Bit hard to tell at the moment. With Samoa in horrendous form and Scotland never seeming to get better, Pool B probably ended up being the weakest pool.
Like I said after the Japan loss, that loss probably helped South Africa in the long term. Nothing like a humiliating loss to bring the team together.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2015
there's not much media coverage of the RWC in Australia as everyone's still going gaga over the fixed NRL 'Greatest Ever' Grand Final, but media pundits are suggesting should Australia top the group they have an easy route to the final.
I'd caution against that mentality as France have a good record in World Cups and are definitely one of the big teams in it.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2015
If Australia tops the group they'll likely play Scotland in the quarters and they'll likely be in the opposite side of the draw to New Zealand and South Africa.
While they'll still have to content against Argentina and one of Ireland/ France, I would say that is still the easier path of the two to the finals.

Re: Rugby World Cup 2015
Another meh performance from the All Blacks. We are doing pretty good in the last 20, just too many mistakes in the first 60 minutes. The top 3/4 sides will punish us for that. Not all that confident about the quarters especially if we play France.

I have never understood the fascination of humans with round objects being hit or kicked around by one and then rest chasing it like their life depended on it. And a whole crowd going ape over it!! Why does it happen? What did that round object do to you?

Australia were excellent with TWO guys in the bin. Didn't let Wales get any points. Then were able to get down and add another penalty. 15-6.
