Aussies are lucky there match winning penalty shouldn't have been a penalty so Scotland probably should have won :lmao:

What a farce with all of today's modern technology.

why shouldnt it have been a penalty?

so much Scottish burn over this however they were awarded several penalties and some of them dubious too - then there was the disallowed try which was a Scottish hand that created the knock on, not Genia

you cant beat the Scots when its comes to anger

It shouldn't have been a penalty. Should have been a scrum, Australian feed. The ball came forward off a Scottish player, touched Phipps before it was picked up by the "offside" Scottish player. The fact that it touched Phipps means that the Scottish player wasn't offside anymore. So should have been just a knock on.

Pretty hard to see that in real time though and according to World Rugby apparently you can't use TMO for that. So the aftermath reaction is pretty tough on Joubert.

Scotland of course should have secured their own line out. It's just easier to blame someone else.

Joubert is actually one of the better referees around but looks like he won't get any more games in this world cup.

It came off a Aussie so the Scotland player had every right to catch it.

Decisions that decide a result right at the end are always the worst ones to cop because you don't get an opportunity to respond to the bad luck.

This is one of those times I'm happy I don't understand all the rules. And if I learn them now they'll change them or I'll forget by the next time I watch rugby.

Aussies probably would have won the game anyway, scrum in good position they probably would have set up for a drop goal and slotted it but it was a dud of a penalty.

Foley wasn't having a great night so that's not a given. Scotland choked in the end though.

Another excruciatingly tight SA vs NZ battle. Glad to come out of it on the right side. It was hard to back up the clinical performance from last week. Will definitely take any sort of win over South Africa.

I watched my second ever Rugby match the second semi final.

Not in a position to comment about the quality of the match but it wasn't boring.

when is the final?

Go black caps!

The odds for Australia are really, really good. I've been thinking about putting something on the Aussies to win just so that I at least make some money if the unthinkable happens.

But betting on Aussies against the All Blacks I think would make me physically ill, so haven't been able to do it.

its a good strategy I often think what is your team winning worth to you (or me) and thats how much I wager on the opposition such that I win either way

all the neutrals supporting the All Blacks

even when they're rank underdogs the Aussies cant get any support. they've had the crowd against them in every single game at this world cup
