Can we do it when it really counts at the World Cup next year though? - that's the big question.

3rd Man - how big is Gaelic Football to soccer to rugby in Ireland. Do many Irishman support 2 if not all the football codes? I take it rugby league over there has no real presence?

Its common place for people to like all sports. The All-Ireland championships - the main Gaelic Football and Hurling competitions run during the summer so there is no overlap with Rugby and Soccer. In terms of actual participation, however, is different. Of course, each code has their zealots, who see the other games as rivals and would not be as inclusive. The GAA were (some would argue, still are) notorious in this regard.

League isn't really big over here. We have an international team but that is usually thrown together whenever there's a World Cup made up with NRL and Super League players with Irish ancestry, along with some token amateur players from the League here.
