Re: Ideas to improve cricket

I don't understand the issue here. If cricket is at the Olympics, it can be no longer than a T20 game. Might even be a 100. But max duration it will have will be a T20 game. And there will be enough opportunity to practise T20 for Olympics. Today many players are T20 specialists, so their Olympics r...

Re: Sri Lankan Players pull out of Pakistan Tour

Raja I think you have been brainwashed by Pakistani media. So you believe that India is the aggresor and Pakistan is the victim ? That Pakistan has won all the wars against India ? So the photograph of Pakistan general surrendering in 1972 is fake ? So Pakistani army did not massacre 3 million of t...

Re: Sri Lankan Players pull out of Pakistan Tour

I started by saying that India, the country, is just like BCCI the bully. :-) That's at the root of everything. They are powerful in South Asia, so they want to show off their power, by mocking those weaker than them, especially Pakistan. Having compassion for the oppressed is not an Indian trait, j...

Re: Sri Lankan Players pull out of Pakistan Tour

I blame UK as the cause for doing such a shoddy job of the separation that led to even enabling the Kashmir mess. But it was 72 years ago, both sides could take some responsibility here for not finding peace with their neighbour. Yes, UK Ireland took a long time but they got there. Your two countri...

Re: Sri Lankan Players pull out of Pakistan Tour

Imran Khan is genuinely trying. Soon after becoming PM, he opened up the Kartarpur corridor talk that has been going on for a while now. Kartarpur (located very close to the border, but on the Pakistan side) went to Pakistan, on partition. It houses the second-most important holy shrine for Sikhs (a...

Re: Sri Lankan Players pull out of Pakistan Tour

Paddles, you are familiar with BCCI, right? It is a reflection of India. Just like BCCI is a cricket bully with a tunnel vision, which couldn't care less about development of cricket as a global sport, India is a South Asian bully which needs to keep flexing its muscles to show off its superiority (...

Re: Rohit sharma as test opener

Oops! I had completely forgotten about Prithvi Shaw's existence. :-) Such a talent! Hope he's back in the side soon. He's a modern-day Gavaskar, with very good technique, and a Gavaskar-like hunger for runs - but probably needs to work on his temperament. Gets carried away at times. Much like Kohli ...
