Re: Great Innings but your side beaten (post any int'L)

I can actually think of a few more famous ones; starting with NZ - Nathan Astles 222, the fastest test dbl century, NZ lost by 98 runs. Bevan Congdon in England - https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/15397/scorecard/63981/new-zealand-vs-england-1st-test-england-tour-of-new-zealand-2001-02 NZ made 440...

This effort is not easily beaten... Just to raise the bar some...

Lara scores over 350 runs by himself, his team loses by an innings. LOL

Re: Kohli become First player with 20,000 International runs in 10 years

Noone cared about combined intl records until Tendulkar got close to 50 hundreds in both both formats. You know what, no fan outside supporting India cares about combining them still. I really don''t care how runs Taylor or KW score, or what the records are, NZ plays half the games India do. Its not...

Re: Kohli become First player with 20K International runs in 10 years

OMG - will fans of Indian cricketer stop making up arbitrary bs stats that noone cares about.

Kohli is an ODI ATG. He walks in at 3 into ATG ODI line up.

But this stat is irrelevant and crap.

Noone plays as many games as India. And noone cares.

Re: New Zealand Cricket Mega Thread - Long White Cloud

You getting South Africans? I would think you'd be getting spinners from Pakistan. Definitely in the last 15-20 years or so there has been quite a few players from SA (and Australia/New Zealand) who spend their winters playing cricket in Ireland. Most get gigs as club pros and some decide to go thr...

Re: New Zealand Cricket Mega Thread - Long White Cloud

I don't know if Conway was "recruited", or just turned up and tried his luck here. Most FC pros obviously would rather head to England, but if they cannot secure a deal there, then look at NZ. And if all else fails, they come to Ireland You getting South Africans? I would think you'd be getting spi...

Re: New Zealand Cricket Mega Thread - Long White Cloud

I can't help but notice a steady stream of South Africans declaring for NZ. Is this a deliberate recruitment policy by NZC or a coincidence? Both. We have many South Africans moving here anyway due to the political climate in South Africa. But South Africans unable to secure County Cricket deals ha...

Re: ODI runs race

Thanks paddle.i think his physical fitness is just like 19 year old.he is good for next 8 years in international cricket He is 30 years 228 days old now. Yeah - fitness won't be an issue for him. How long he keeps his eye, but given he is a technician, I think 8 years and 2 more World Cups is defin...
